Top up 3 x $28 on 24/06/26 Sunday, received it today on 02/06/26, 5 business days to receive. My billing history only show the bonus credited and not the original top up amount. So weird. 🤣

Is it because when pple topup for us, the topup amount will not show in our account but we still received topup email, message?

23/05 $84 topup never appear
02/06 promotion $84 appear

Really dunno how it works, nevertheless, as long as the main wallet shows the correct amount, that is more important. But I think you are quite right because the person who served me top up my account via a phone, so it could be actually billed to his phone and not to my account on 24/05/26. 😀

Your Eight Mobile plan will lapse at the end of its current billing cycle if you do not opt for auto-recharge or manually purchase a new plan.
When your plan lapses:
  • Grace Period: Your mobile number enters a 60-day grace period. During this time, you can still receive incoming SMS and recharge notifications, but you won't have access to data or outgoing calls.
  • Reactivation: You can reactivate your line by manually purchasing a new plan via the Eight Mobile Portal or the Eight app before the grace period ends.
  • Termination: If you do not manually renew or recharge within 60 days, your account will be fully deactivated and you will lose your mobile number permanently.

no issues for me... its good and fast. but i hit issues in train.. east west line in tunnel for.. eight, zym, simba haha... i think all of them same in tunnel. super dead slow.
Maybe 5G will help. That redhill to raffles area moi always got signal issue but see others using phone like nothing so I guess there are plans that are not affected there.

most apps commonly used will have cache or buffer long enough to last for a minute or so.

slow data doesn't mean no data. took a few calls on vonr on that part of EWL and didn't hear any interruptions.

Looks like the S$10.8 5G plan becomes permanent and the S$11.8 4G plan is gone. Good move from eight.
https://www.eight.com.sg/

Not counting SIMBA, M1 Maxx S$10 plans and StarHub Prepaid S 5G S$10 plan used to the cheapest regular 5G plan without special promotion codes or things like that (not counting 4G plans with 180 days or half year 5G trial). Now M1 Maxx regular 5G plan is at S$12 per month. StarHub Prepaid 5G Core plan is at S$15 per month.

eight 5G plan at S$10.8 seems to be the cheapest regular non-SIMBA 5G plan now.

Maybe I will sign up a new line to try out and compare it with my StarHub Prepaid S 5G (S$3 per month special migration offer for Happy Prepaid Card users in Nov 2025, no more such offers).

My eight 4G line is used by my wife for her roaming needs this year.

StarHub Prepaid 4G connection vs eight 4G connection

I have tested a few times starhub prepaid vs Eight on 4G connection. It's seems mostly starhub prepaid give higher speed and less lag compare eight.
Does it relate to priorities network ?? But it seems both under Starhub ownership

Also nowadays Starhub prepaid also given overseas roaming calls minutes too

Based on your test results, it is probably true that StarHub Prepaid has higher priority than eight.

Faster in the range of about 20%. Not really great. But if congested area or peak timing. It may make a difference

Take note StarHub has changed the Prepaid Plans again recently.

No more S$10 StarHub Prepaid S 5G plan.

S$12 plan is 4G only. S$15 plan is 5G.

4G Prepaid at S$12 per month.
5G Prepaid Core at S$15 per month.
5G Prepaid Plus at S$30 per month.

Local and Roaming data bundles are much better than last time.

I don't think we know yet. Their S$10.80 plan is still listed on their Web site as available only through May 31, 2026. Obviously it's now June, and it's still available at this instant. But it's unclear what's going to happen.
