Got the SMS earlier as well. Applied through their website.
But it feels weird that they used a normal number to send the SMS, like the entire thing wasn't planned properly or in a rush

I think Eight comes up this plan to capture the bulk of customers from Zym, Zero1 and Vivifi which the free 1 year roaming data will expire during these period.

For the $8 plan, the free 8GB roaming allowance is shared between MY, ID, TH, VN, ID and TW. On top of this 8GB, there is an additional free 1GB roaming allowance for all other countries.

As per today's EDM, assuming you travel only to MY, ID, TH, VN, ID and TW, you can use 9GB of monthly roaming data in total without fees.

since i travel to VN for work as well. typical provider doesn't cover it in the free plan except simba. 1g
