Signed up with Eight using chose the E-Sim function. I would like it's pretty swift!
Anyone who wanted to try this telco with an enabled E-Sim function on your phone should sign up this way. If happy continue, if not happy, just delete and move on with life.

But weird thing I read on the faq, esim is bind with your device? Since when that’s the case? If you want use eSIM on new device, need go down service centre to get new QR code.

I believe it has always been the case since it is not tagged to any physical sim cards so it will be binded to the device's MAC address or something. The flexibility of it depends on each telco. Some telco does not charge for swapping devices and some telco charges for it cos it is seamless.

But I signed up for testing the telco only cos these few days, my red line giving me problems so I don't see myself using another device.

Best to plan first bah prior to signing up E-sims. If not stick to physical SIM lor.

That is how it works right now, you usually get 2-3 free esim transfers from most telcos. After that, it will be chargeable. That's why I still prefer to get physical sim for main line, can swap to another phone anytime. Yes, some OS like Android have the esim transfer feature but it is not universal across all telcos yet.

It's always been so. Simba is an example, got to go down plus pay $5.

That's why I've been using dual SIM iPhones all this while, especially for my primary lines. If phone fails at least I can just transfer the physical SIM card quickly.
