no app should be fine. There is a web portal to check. That shouldn't be a consideration, their app is coming soon.

As to no roaming top up, yes, that's the downside now. I'm also planning to port over like tmr

yes, I pop SIM card for my mum's line in the evening and port-in happened the same night, SIMBA line terminated at 11 plus and next day number ported into eight

I ported in a 2nd line early this morning. Since mine is eSIM, got the email with QR code almost immediately. Scanned to my iPhone and it's working fine, except that I've to log in with the temporary number from Eight for the time-being.

From my experience with the first, progress should start about 11pm on the same day (working day), with interruption to the previous number for about 3 hours, then it's done. Wake up the next morning should be done.

They mass port in 11pm every night and 12.45am signal should be disconnected

By 2am should be successfully port in ..

i would said that your best bet is before the end of the month like 1 or 2 days before the start of the new month if you are getting the sim card by going down, but if you opt for delivery will be best is 1 week just incase they send the sim card to you in a week time.

For my work line, I've just submitted my porting request for $0 plan to test the performance and coverage. If good enough, I'll upgrade to the $8 plan by end Aug/early Sep. Else, will port out elsewhere.

Porting from Vivifi Vibe 4G cos performance has dropped quite a bit. Can't use the phone at all in the trains.
