i finally clarified. u can go to any retailers to do the port-in and will immediately receive the SIM card. wait 1-2 days till your existing line has no connection and popin your eight SIM.

Trying to time my Starhub port in

If my contract last day is 1 Aug, should I take the risk to activate eight on 1 Aug and then 2 Aug Starhub get cut off. If Starhub considers 1 Aug I terminate, I get $100+ termination penalty. If 2 Aug, $0 because contract ended.

My starhub plan, 1 day can pay for half a month of eight.

Your starhub plan so expensive ya ? Time it properly to avoid penalty ..

well as i heard from others in the past that such contract plan is best you port after 1 day of your contracted terms to be safe. and that's why for me i also wanna to port in to this zero plan as well but i cant as my contract ends in sep which is already over by then.

Oh you're right. I think i got confused and see wrongly. Taiwan is included but not japan and korea. This year i am going korea, so i will sign up when i go taiwan.

$0 plan does not include international roaming. for $8 plan, 1gb international roaming includes japan and korea

Yah, 1gb not enough, have to buy local sim. I also have 1gb from simba for international roam.

Can choose a set of numbers but some reported if don't like the set of numbers then some people say can only press refresh once.

No. Can only collect from service centre if you register online.

I think depend on how busy the roadshow is ..

If they very busy, they may not let you take own sweet time to choose the number ..

If you doing $0, $8 or $18 port in then best is to go to the roadshow because you get the physical sim card immediately ..

i would said that your best bet is before the end of the month like 1 or 2 days before the start of the new month if you are getting the sim card by going down, but if you opt for delivery will be best is 1 week just incase they send the sim card to you in a week time.

if esim ,as mentioned in a few eariler post is that for esim process is quite fast but i have yet read up anything much on esim but they said once it process is done send you an email with QR code and you can do that transfer to your iphone with esim.as for any fees that i am not sure.

the delivery is you getting a physical carrd., but it really depends some faster than others while some have been waited for like 2 weeks (as seen in some of their post of customer complaining.)

so going down to the service centre will guarantee getting the sim card first ? will consider this option..
