Does anyone know if I sign up online to port-in to the $0 plan today, but choose to self collect my sim card only next week, the port-in process (1-3 days) will only begin after I have collected my sim card right?

i.e. Will there be a chance they port-in before I collect my sim card? Not possible right?
Of course porting will only be done after u collect your sim card lah.

lol ok. Just wanting to make sure in case I do sth stupid and end up with no mobile service in the meantime..

Wanted to quickly sign up for the $0 plan in case they decide to end it, but not ready to port over my current line just yet (until end of month) 😅

I find that their price confusing.

1st mth pay = xx
2nd mth pay = xxx
3rd mth pay = xx

wah. why they can't be like eight. straight forward pricing? :s22:
Coz not everyone who signs up can get $7.90.

So everyone pays $9.90 first. Then those who qualify for the port in offer will get rebate so pay $5.90 2nd month and subsequently $7.90.

The rest pay $9.90 all the way.

the support from eight's Ubi centre is better than first class. beats all telcos (MNO, MVNO).

Only those who've encountered lousy chat support will understand where you're coming from, instead of going on about MVNO being cheap in customer support, etc.

Pathetic support from an MNO makes it all the more ridiculous and thus lousy. I've had my own fair share of such, thus feel Eight's alright already. Just head for Ubi where the boss serve with passion, if one can't wait for online processes. 👍

Just last night? Don't kancheong. Things normally ironed out after 9 or 10am the next day. If not then action...

totally agree
recently went down to ubi to port one line from simba to eight

the chinese guy (is he the boss?) bothers to check with me when my simba payment cycle is, in case I want to save some money and port in later in the month

Solid, settled port in & eSIM conversion @ Ubi after sorting out documentation.

15 Aug - Requested port in.
15 Aug - Failed due to documentation error.
16 Aug - Sorted out documentation issue with principal telco.
19 Aug - Requested again for port in.
21 Aug - Successfully ported in to Eight.
21 Aug - Succesfully converted to eSIM @ Ubi Service Centre.

Principal telco got cut off around after midnight on 21 Aug.
Without any errors in documentation/personal info, it should have taken only 1 - 2 business days discounting weekends (Weekends no port in since nobody working as what was shared.)

Can share with us more on the documentation issue?
