You do it at Ubi there's someone there to enter it into the system.

You send by email then all those thousands of emails daily have to be sorted out before distributing for action.

Makes sense? So it's just our recommendation here to head for Ubi if you want fast(er) action.

Just look at those :censored: questions posted in Eight's FB page. I can imagine what the staff have to deal with daily, including in those emails.

I've only recommended the likes of Maxx and Eight... and even Singtel promos online to people who're willing to read instead of waiting to be spoon-fed. To these people, I just give a brief and the link. Want to see or not isn't my business.

We live in 2024 , for example even the neighborhood police station are upgraded to mostly video call basis and no more physical person manning the office.

Strange you mentioned NPP coz the one near mine actually reopened not too long ago. :s13:

I feel Eight will have it better if they didn't start the NDP $0 offer, and/or limited the initial one. Life would have been better or rather, more manageable.

Just like when you are working. Everyday start work, turn on PC, turn on Outlook. See 486 emails.

Then just nice, maybe I sent an email, and notification comes up, and he/she clicks on it and settle mine.

While some, will scroll all the way down to last seen email to clear. Then coffee break and forget where to continue.

Yes. They give you a temporary number, wait for 2 days then port over to them
sorry can check with you... wait for 2 days means u inserted sim card only after 2 days?
thinking to collect my sim card first then time my activation date.

Yeah, they should be prepared for the load and it's unacceptable if there isn't any reply after a few emails over a whole week.

It's like they don't give a s**t and take their own time selectively serving customers.

I can understand this after having worked in a CS role before, especially when many emails are redundant if the sender actually read the FAQ. :o

You can register online first... Then wait until you are ready to port over then collect.. I think once you get then new simcard, they will proceed with the porting.

Yes....I got the new 8 simcard... Plug in got signal and can connect and is another number but takes 2 days to be ported over.

When you receive the termination SMS on your existing Sim card, the next morning your number will be on 8.

Seems like the immediate respond from "Eight" is to go UBI direct not doing online since 90% people are commenting they get their lines terminated with immediate action.
I went to lucky plaza and got my two free lines terminated within 5 mins as well.

lol I feel eight poor thing. everyday kena hammer in fb why didn't receive sim card. why port in failed etc etc. they are like big baby waiting to spoon feed. earn their $8 very kang kor 🤣🤣

why they cannot just go to service centre to resolve??

before i port to eight, i was with starhub. by right starhub to starhub is no issue one.. but i still did not want to take chance as it is my mainline, so i personally went down to ubi service centre to do porting, swee swee 5hrs port in successfully

Those of you with expired cards and didn't renew, is it 12am sharp will become cannot call and cannot even receive sms?

Go down service centre, or shop register is the best. Straight away get SIM and get it activated. Same goes to chosing eSIM option. This directly, goes register and activate into their system.

Using mail for sim card, the SIM might get lost in transit, or delays in mail.

The still have to manually activate SIM and they still have to manually push to activate and port in.

Best to go shop or esim option. Same goes to zym or simba

i recalled when my mom ported her line from m1 to simba, she also went down to simba service centre, faster in that way and she was also paying $20 in the past, after switch to simba, she very happy paying $10

i am gonna port her simba to eight soon, and waiting to port for one of my family member m1 maxx to eight
long zong port to eight. we are happy users!

There’s no need to use a larger font size, we can read with the default size. Larger sizes are like shouting.
agreed, dont understand why used large font, scare ppl cannot read ah?

Didn't really stay up to monitor at 12am, but checking the phone after waking up in the morning, all services terminated except receiving SMS .

I've just emailed them 10 minutes ago to terminate the line and the next minute received their termination confirmation email. Very fast.
