i just used free IDD calls again! called thai number, no worry of kena slapped with IDD charges
and i checked my account, it deducted from my 288 IDD call mins

Eight staff just called.
they are still resolving the intl sms issue.
this incident is very unique to them.
no definite timeline when they will resolve this.

hokey when I'm in Thailand in oct I'll give field report. useful for me if I'm there can call thai numbers without getting charge on idd calls

such as if need call massage place to schedule appointment

According to the help page, the plan includes "288 minutes roaming calls back to SG and at the destination you roam at", meaning that when I'm overseas making IDD calls back to SG, or to a local number at the country I'm at is counted from my plan's IDD entitlement.

How about if I were to receive calls when I'm overseas (whether from SG or some other country)? Or if I'm overseas and I need to make an IDD call to a country other than Singapore and/or the country I'm currently at? Checked and the help document on eight's website doesn't mention

no lah..cos my recent trip in hcm also made call to make booking for massage...and kanna charge for my simba...so I am particular about Vietnam for IDD call..

Receive calls while u r overseas - deduct from idd allowance.

Make calls back to sg when u r roaming overseas - deduct from idd allowance.

make calls to a third country while u r roaming overseas - sponsor my air ticket. I will let u know.

when u r in sg and make calls overseas - deduct from idd allowance.
