There are no secret codes and messages here… when in doubt, just scroll back up the discussion and see.

you don’t become another bot leh…

Please don't try to make toxicity in this thread, you can choose to ignore the messages you cannot stop people from commenting or even hit ignore button like what you all suggested.

Making remarks about "being a bot" is stereotyping people and a form of harassment i am sure if you are a working adult you will know this anyway let the mods make the decisions.

:sneaky::rolleyes::rolleyes:

ok, done commenting

I want to comment that I think some people damn rolls eyes can? If you don’t understand something in any HWZ thread, normal behaviour is to scroll backward then read mah. If that is not easily understood, then you are like a bot.

and is that so difficult to comprehend?

Hey all, any former MyRepublic users here? My port-in request from MyRepublic 4G to Eight Mobile failed due to "line not active" which is bs as I'm still using that line.

I've tried contacting MyRepublic and they couldn't pinpoint the issue lol since all the details like NRIC, name, and phone number are correct and yet the request failed. They simply told me to get Eight Mobile to resubmit the request and they'll supposedly approve it asap.

Anyone kena this strange situation before?

Seems to me MR system failed to release your line so the porting failed.

Get in touch with Eight email portin@eight.com.sg and request for a resubmission.

Does Eight prorate it's subscription to start at first of the month, or it follows the ported in date?
Eight is technically 30Days billing, even thought they advertise their price as a month.
See https://www.eight.com.sg/faq-renew-recharge-and-billing under When will I be billed for my mobile plan?

GOMO is the only other one that advertise as mthly but charges every 30Days.

Prorate will occur with those using a fixed billing cycle, either following calendar month (Zym Mobile, Vivifi, CMLink, redONE, Circles.Life), or certain fixed dates (Zero1)

Find me an $8 (or similar) plan in SG with 5G. (Simba doesn't count.)

Genuine question: What's the cheapest non-Simba 5G plan in SG? I presume it would be from one of the MVNOs.
Would that zym $10.10 with port-in count ?

Then you might not like the 4G experience provided by Eight.

I think though it's just a matter of time before Eight also defaults to 5G.

Hi guys, what happen if I exceed the roaming data limit? Will I get charged extra for the roaming or the internet will just be cut off?

Cut off.

Eight, like many (most?) MVNOs, does not give you "bill shocks". They will not automatically deduct from your main balance or credit card, with the exception of auto-recharge for your main plan. Even that only happens on the 30-day cycle that is setup by the user.

True, but at least it is still Starhub. Much better experience for me compared to Singtel for the location i tend to go.

Can only hope that StarHub allow them to cannibalize GIGA and offer much cheaper 5G

Maybe get a spare number and try this month.
Kept seeing those old birds topping up like no ending in the last few hundred pages

As far as 4G experiences go, it's one of the best for MVNOs. Again, your mileage may vary.

For me, my 4G experiences with all three main telcos have always been good, but that's just my own use case.
