You input credit card info, turn on "Auto Recharge" then by right monthly will deduct from there.

Alternatively, don't zzz first. Under half an hour go to Shopee get the 50% max 200 coins cashback voucher. Can use to top up wallet and perhaps join us for our Christmas 2025 gathering here.

But first, go get your SIM card first, be it port in or buy new. Remember physical NRIC no crack no bad scratches. Test and if really like the network then think about best/preferred way to recharge.
What Christmas gathering 😮

Hmm… ya hor lol .
Why I so stupid. Can just terminate giga and get new line 😂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

suggest you get the eight line and try it out for a week or two (or a month since they charge you fee for killing the line before 30 days after activation). if ok, then kill the giga line. if not ok, kill the eight line and go back to giga or find another alternative.

Do this first. See if you really decide to stay.

Tried searching for sellers which can use 50% for 200coins, non works so far :(

for now, that voucher button says "use later"
at 1200, it changes to "use", then you can buy the eight topup

(obligatory reference to "eight" else kenna ban for off-topic)

I hope to seek understanding from all members here. This thread has gone over 300 close to 400 pages long. Not many members will try to read back 10+/20+/50+/100+/200+ pages to find their answer. If a member is asking a question that has been answered many times before, and you do not feel like repeating, please ignore and let another member who is willing to answer take over.

Thanks.

A few users have our wallets topped up for quite a few months already, through the use of such Shopee vouchers and coins. A couple like myself (because I know I can stay with Eight for at least that long) have enough wallet balance for monthly deduction until Christmas next year. Thus the term Christmas 2025 gathering. 👌

That's why I said get the card first, if you test and like the network and comfortable with the cost and what it includes, then look into the possible ways to get to the pay lesser. I do wonder how long such vouchers will be around, and from which Shopee seller/s we can continue to apply them. So no point relying on them if we don't like the basic offerings.

Pls allow me to suggest to balance the equation.

Before asking, maybe they should do
- a search in this thread, or
- head down to www.eight..com.sg and at least explore the FAQ before asking questions here.

There is a saying, "ask smart questions, people will be willing to guide."

Let's agree to disagree.

Err.. except zym, always start 1st of thr month.
oh yes, upon sign-up, they will collect a pro-rated amount until end of the month.

Zym is good and the 5G speed is fast, i remembered somebody posted a speedtest screenshot, the speed hit 1200mbps in one of the coffesshop. that screenshot left a deep impression.

what I like about zym is they have an app to manage the account.
I was contemplating whether to use zym as my back-up but due to my personal requirement of roaming calls and IDD, I decided to go for simba for flexibility.

It can be easier to understand the offerings after one reads the FAQ, or at least the relevant parts.
Can help to narrow down to help (ask) exactly what they want to know/clarify too. 👌
I think that is a more effective way of searching for answers.

one does not go to your colleagues at work and ask "how to do ah?"

at least one explores and researches until really hit wall, den you ask. when ask also must be articulated.
" i have research this over the weekend, and trial-and-error but it does not work. in your professional capacity and experience, (________________________________) ?"

Hello again everyone, former MyRepublic users please advise. When you submit a port-in request from MyRepublic 4G to Eight Mobile, the operator should be MyRepublic 4G instead of M1 right?

Eight Mobile stated it should be M1, but MyRepublic CS told me to resubmit under MyRepublic 4G. :s22:

I saw the telco list.
MyRepublic 4G is available in the list of donor telco, it should be selected instead of M1.
We cannot advice much as we are only users, just like your good self.

Why not head to Ubi service centre and rectify this. He will help you.

If the specific MVNO is there for you to pick, then just use that.

When I ported over an M1 Maxx line, I looked for Maxx first.

Back when I moved out from MyRepublic to IIRC Simba, I'd to choose M1 because MR wasn't in the list, and it's successful at first go.
