Interestingly, Eight replied to me that there is no IDD voice call support in Vietnam.

ie, cannot receive or make outgoing calls on Eight

Yup, that is per their roaming faq, where (for VN) roaming data is supported but not calls.

Whatsapp call worked because it is VOIP call which uses data only.

What'd be the difference if you just select plan directly?

IIRC that's what I did. Straightforward.
the step to upgrade from free plan:
1. scroll down to press on Recharge tab.
2. choose a plan, scroll down to Next tab.
3. Confirm.
Thank you for your help.

Youtube is banned since 2009
It is illegal to use these 2 apps in China.
You don't knn go other ppl country and do these illegal things okay.

is this a joke
country policy does not equate your sim card
non local sim card doesnt have restriction, similar to vpn service their local user use

if u do not know, dont mislead other

When I use my eight mobile plan’s with 2GB free international data while abroad, I notice that it runs out much faster compared to using a local SIM card.
The moment I landed and switched off airplane mode, the 2GB was gone in less than an hour with my phone unused most of the time. Anyone having the same issue?

I got the esim email almost immediately when I sign up online.
Note that bill cycle starts immediately, regardless of when you activate the esim.

Even when activated overseas, it can roam without first connected to starhub network.
Data roaming works fine in Japan (KDDI) & US (Verizon), did not try voice call.

When on eight network, Disney+ doesn't work (error msg that it's not available in this region). Strangely when I connect to my backup Starhub 4G Network on the same phone, Disney+ can connect.
