Auto recharge is different from auto deduct/ main wallet balance?

Topup goes with your main wallet balance that still gets deducted automatically. (Wallet balance to some basically means locked in credits)

Auto recharge should be you linked your card to auto deduct from there? (No wallet balance, no lock in)

Go to your eight app... In billing section auto recharge from main balance also called auto recharge. If I disable it means I have to manually recharge the plan when it expire.

According to Eight Telecom's FB, their admin replied to one similar query on this, and said there is no need to disable auto-recharge; just simply top up $28 to wallet and will receive the $10 in 7 days.

So you still can enable auto-recharge to qualify for the free $10? Because the FAQ say otherwise.

I think the FAQ is referring to those who automatically top-up say $30 every cycle. They won't get the $10. But as long as you manually buy the $28, it shd be ok

To be safe, u can turn off auto-charge, do the $28 top-up manually, wait for the $10 credit then turn back on the auto-recharge if you wish

You find Maxx jialat, then I'd say just port to Eight, no need to think anymore.

Purchased the $28 top-up on Lazada yesterday and received the $10 credits today.

Then I manually top up another $2 via the app to $40 so it's 5 months worth at $6 per month. Good Deal!

I didn't buy more in anticipation of further shakeup in the MVNO market, especially for roaming data.

But those who don't need roaming can consider topping up more as it is unlikely that any MVNOs will go below $6/mth package in the near future.
