There's always some risk when roaming internationally that the local carrier won't deliver SMS text messages or otherwise will have difficulties providing service. Singapore-based carriers don't have much control over that part; it's not their network. However, generally speaking you'll get SMS text messages as long as the overseas carrier allows your phone to connect using any SMS-capable connection (VoNR, VoLTE, 3G, or 2G).The login to Eight app is via OTP. Anyone tried logging into Eight app when overseas in Europe/UK ? Not sure if any problems with receiving sms when I am overseas
ok for me in Bangkok during 1-5 May, auto connected while aeroplane landed taxiing to airport, nvr use hotel wifi at all, total usage 1-1.5gb per day, using Eight on 2x android phones.I arrived in Thailand today. Eight is having problem registering on the network. Once I put to airplane mode and off airplane mode, it will connect to the network but will disconnect after less than 1 minutes. Eight was working fine for my previous trip in Thailand, the otp also work. No idea why this trip cannot connect to network at all. I emailed helpdesk but that will take a long time. No sure where to seek immediate help
Do you need to manually select network?ok for me in Bangkok during 1-5 May, auto connected while aeroplane landed taxiing to airport, nvr use hotel wifi at all, total usage 1-1.5gb per day, using Eight on 2x android phones.
takeout your sim card, wipe contacts and reset your network settings and try again
Or if your phone selected DTAC, try manually selecting TrueMove. Or vice versa.I was in Thailand in early May also, that time everything was fine. I already done all that was suggested but no use. However I just change the preferred network to 3G and now it can link to the network. It seem that the LTE network got issue. Weird

My parents are encountering the same problem in the Tampines West area. During my visit, I performed a test and observed that the indoor signal coverage was excellent, mirroring that of my MyRepublic 5G plan. Despite this, the data speeds were notably low. The problem appeared to dissipate in open areas. To summarize, StarHub's 4G in Tampines West exhibits strong indoor signal, yet it struggles to provide usable data. This reiterates that signal indicators are not always reliable. Conversely, my MyRepublic 5G plan, which operates on the StarHub network, functions without issue both indoors and outdoors on their 5G.Eight signal very poor at tampines west
time to find another telco if you didnt hog creditsHi anyone facing porting out of Eight mobile recently ?
How is it coming along? Still couldn't connect?I am experiencing the same issue as well, and what user said is accurate to the issue.
Issue seems to occur since last night where both DTAC and TrueMove are unable to connect to 4G network. Only 3G is available, and network seems to be unstable as well with dropout.
Would like to report that I’ve been in Thailand for almost a month, and previously there was no issues in roaming at all. I even managed to get connected to DTAC 5g network while roaming here with eight. However, as user reported, as of last night it seems that both dtac and truemove network using eight is down. Seems strange as both network are definitely working in Thailand with their respective local sim
I am trying to however Eight rejected my porting out 3 times due to ID mismatch although I am the rightful ownertime to find another telco if you didnt hog credits![]()
No need. The system will always check for remaining credits inside your account firstI recently topup $28+$10 (free). Do I need to disable Auto Recharge in my account manually?

last time vivifi added my name wrongly for some reason i emailed them to correct itI'd first approach the existing service provider to ensure my particulars for that line is according to what it's supposed to be, before going to Eight to settle the rest.
