Seems like for Eight, not only in BKK, there's feedbacks that I saw stating that their roaming in Vietnam etc. also faces such issue IIRC.
I had no issues roaming in HCM Vietnam back in March, some had issues roaming in Viet even before March tho.

Haven’t you noticed something about what you just wrote? You’re now celebrating your 1 month anniversary roaming in Thailand. Isn’t it possible the local carrier in Thailand enforces some sort of ”soft” demotion if you roam too long on their network (past 30 days in this case)? Seems likely! Lots of carriers have rules, often unadvertised and selective, to prevent “excessive” international roaming mostly because they (and sometimes governments) don’t want residents (or “residents“) to be using a non-local SIM.
Haha maybe what you said could be the case, but it seems unlikely they would enforce that.
I think it’s just a case of backend issues with eight and its partner carriers like few of the other users here has reported.

Hopefully they could get it fix soon and everyone would be able to roam seamlessly.

Previously in 2024 roamed for 2 months in BKK, 1 month in China (IIRC), never faced such issues of being deprioritised.
But agree, such rules possibly exist due to regulations of roaming destination country.

I arrived in Bali yesterday, switched on roaming and totally cannot connect to Indosat. Tried to restart and all possible means still unable to connect. In the end I had to purchase a cheapo esim plan from Shopee. The funny thing is, this plan from Shopee also using Indosat and able to connect to 4G, but not my eight roaming data...

Seems like they throttle the data roaming overseas...

Wife currently on cruise and had a day in Phuket. She said the roaming was good and able to send me pics of her and friends in HDL 🤣
