When CMLink initially launched in SG, the data was shared with China way before COVID time, now then I noticed it was no longer the case.

$20 for porting out within 30 days of activation.

almost all MVNO has a clause on minimum duration. It’s either cannot or pay money to leave early and any remaining monthly subscription. Zym is 2 months.

In that case I need to wait 31 days after 2nd payment then can leave and port out?
Don't need to.

After the 1st 30 days can port out already. But in order to port out, the line has to be active during the process. Thus can't avoid the 2nd month's payment.

There were reports that port outs succeeded during the 60-day grace period.

I might be testing this at the end of this month.

guy eifht cant buy plan early i finished 488gb now no data supe4 sand
If you wish you can upgrade to the $18 plan and get a fresh 588GB for the next 30 days. Your current plan ends immediately if you do that. Alternatively, if your phone supports eSIMs (which makes it easier) or dual physical SIMs, you can add a second line with any MNO or MVNO with its own data allotment.

What the heck are you doing that burned 488GB well within 30 days?!?

How do I terminate the eight subscription plan?
You don't. Turn off auto plan renewal (if you have it turned on), then just "walk away." There's no refund of any wallet balance or remaining plan days. If you want to port out, you can.

will 8 offering 5G soon since Maxx has started 5G svc today....????
Presumably Eight will start offering 5G service no later than the date when 4G services in Singapore end. That'll be a long time from now.

M1 Maxx is only offering 5G service on their $10 (per 30 days) plan and above. Their $7.90 ($9.90 after 360 days) plan is a 4G plan. (M1 Maxx's $10 plan is extremely similar to SIMBA's $10 plan. Probably not a coincidence!) If Eight feels any competitive pressure it'll be much less pressure on their popular $8 and $5 plans.

Does anyone actually care whether the service is labeled 4G or 5G per se? Most people care about whether they get good coverage (they can get a usable signal in the places they go), throughput is at least acceptable, SMSes are reliably delivered, voice calls reliably work in and out, and the price is reasonable or better. SIMBA has a 5G network, and it's not spectacular. Sometimes it's slower, and it can run down a battery faster. If 5G helps actually improve service enough to matter, great, that'll be attractive to many people. Otherwise, who cares?
