Where are the locations Eight 5G is not good? Thanks.

Certain locations SingTel 5G also cui (but improved a lot in 2025 compared to last year because of 700 MHz band. Before 2025, often totally no signal).

Note: this is above the ground, industrial building, west side.

Fresh test result.
Singtel 5G, NSA, B28, -109 dBm.

Eight 4G is better in this location.

Thanks.

For EWL or NSL tunnel or other MRT tunnels, I guess none of the three 5G networks are good. But SIMBA should be the worst.

Singtel 5G = M1/Starhub 5G > SIMBA 5G

Or

Singtel 5G >= M1/Starhub 5G > SIMBA 5G
eight 4G used to be decent last year, at least no interruption.
eight 5G supposed to be a better experience at higher price, but nah, it is not that good. I decided to port out after I conducted trial on Zym and Zero1. Decided to go with Zero1.

May i ask what's the deciding factor for zero1 as compared to Zym?

Eight data connects have degraded severely since last time. I have dual SIM - one is Singtel $15 plan and Eight $8 plan. After boarding aircraft in Singapore there was NO connection for Eight while Singtel had connection. Then while in Bangkok, the data connection was really bad. Everyday I have to on and off airplane mode several times to get back data connection. Last time it wasn't like that in Bangkok!

Haha, same as me now.

S$15.28 per month Singtel SIM Only plan and Eight S$8 per month 4G plan.

But probably not a fair comparison, need to compare S$15.28 per month Singtel SIM Only plan and Eight S$14.8 per month 5G plan.

Ok. So to say u have tried zero1 b4 and feel zym suits u better?
I also used both and found little difference.

If you need to check your usage regularly on an app, zym's app is probably better. However you can achieve the same for zero1 on a web browser, so I don't really understand the importance of the app here.

Personally I rather not have an app on my phone and check using website should the need arises, which is not an option for zym, so I consider that a drawback for zym than an advantage.

The real edge for zym was from Jan to Sep 2025 when they give out a free 3GB for 12 months 4G sim, which has since been upgraded to 5GB forever. But that promo is over.

No. Your link is for prepaid and not that good -- only the first month 28 days are good, after that the top up will not be as good.

Because of the reason, I have created a thread collecting different low cost SIM Only Plans. There is a link for the above Singtel SIM Only plan.

How to Select Low Cost SIM Only Plans in Singapore?

Qn on 8 port-in. I collected the 8 sim card, and it has been activated. do I just replace my existing sim card or wait for some sms before swapping my old sim with the new 8 sim card?
