Not only looking at Ocbc. Just overall endowment plan , looking at payment of 5 years and 10 years later take out

Pay 5 wait 10 is very popular but the returns is just so so only and some done even have capital guaranteed at the maturity.
And Why such plan? If is for retirement or income, i would say go for something else but depends on what is your objective.

Got plans that non guaranteed + guaranteed reach 5%++?
In the past probably. right now with every place slashing rates, i would say 3% would be somewhat the figure to look at

Yeah yeah, just looking around see which one got highest payout

If so, you should be comparing guaranteed amount since anything non-guaranteed cannot be a good basis for comparison

Not with fresh endowments. 5% is yesteryears when bonds rate are high.

Old policies probably can when they traded liquidity for returns. right now those holding that kind of policy confirm happy :s13:

Hi Yan Sia,
Under current low interest rate environment, annualized return for insurance endowment plan is most likely around 3.x%.

While you compare the payout, you may also take a look at the structure of the endowment plan. such as whether got cashback? can accumulate the payout/cashback at x% p.a.?

Endowment plan is a long term commitment, guaranteed cashback may provide some flexibility to you.

Any good single premium product with maturity up to max 4 years? FD maturing and looking to deploy it in somewhere with better yields.

your best bet would be waiting for tranche products that companies will be offering assuming you want full sum back after that 4 years :)

Looking at it, 2nd option is better.
Option 2 doesnt even 100% guaranteed ur capital upon maturity. But i will not look at such product.
What u gonna do when it mature? Look for another plan?

10k/yr for 5 yrs. Wait 10 more years?
So pay 2021-2025, but payout at 2035?

How they calculate the 3.25% and 4.75%?
Far as I can tell, 63,895 is not even 2.5% pa...

I agree with Value. Put in SA better.
Or if you're below 40yo, put in your parents SA/RA so its more liquid.

In terms of single premium policies, it’s the shortest tenure that GE has to offer just that the yield is nothing to rave about.

If you’re not in the 60s, ask yourself why are you looking at only short term plans.
