Factors affecting the car FC:-
1. Balancing of the tires and rims : so that less energy loss (5%)
2. Engine oil and servicing: (5%)
3. Driving habits: (10%)
4. The car been running smooth (the more you run the smoother) (5%)

Above are the variables depending on user.
Simple example: some user get only 11km/l and some user can get 14km/l

The previous owner used $50 engine oil with free wipers.. nxt service is ard this aug. Not sure want to change better engine oil now or wait till aug..any suggestion bro?

Idk if previous owner does his/her due diligence for oil change every 10k.

One of my friend bought over a vehicle, engine was not performing up to norm so he took out the valve cover only to find loads of engine sludge.

He went from 10k oil change to 3k oil change for a few cycles just to clear out those sludge.

if you feel comfortable then go for early oil change. no harm doing so except hurting your wallet. maybe at the same time can do a engine flush as well

I heard you said jerky at higher speed. Have you done tires and rims balancing? Trust me. This will affect FC.

For engine oil. If I were to sell my car soon, I won’t be bother to change oil la. Human nature

In my experience (previous car)

1. Ensure engine oil not overfilled - engine hesitation and poor FC
2. Check engine oil dipstick if it is "golden" in colour - overheating and varnish
3. Ensure ATF not overfilled - poor shifting and jerking
4. Use a full tank of Caltex 95 + 1x bottle of Techron into the fuel tank - cleans fuel tank, erratic fuel level sensor and clear injectors
5. Use ester-based engine oil for cleaning of engine.

HTH.

P.S. You drive with a/c on or off usually?

So does golden engine oil means it’s a good thing?

New engine oild should be golden in colour. As you use them, they should turn darker as they are doing their job in cleaning the engine. It it doesnt turn darker, please avoid that engine oil

Sounds right. If it doesn’t turn darker means it isn’t cleaning the engine? No EO expert here.
