Whilst doing my research to upgrade my cpu which is bottlenecking my rig on the right. I came up with a few options
1. Find used hyperthreading cpu (i7 7700 maybe?) to swap out my i5 6500
2. Change entire motherboard and cpu to something newer (i could probably get a i5 10400f+mb combo for around 350++)
Option no 1 felt better to me due to the lower cost and in the midst of it, I came upon some ES cpus in Aliexpress. 140 for i7 6700? Damson sign me up!
Question is, besides the condition of the actual cpu itself, does it require special bios or specific motherboards to work?
Should i stick with other upgrade paths?
