Abstracts from the FAQ - Updates to SingTel Circle Benefit [Last access on 6-Nov-2021]

What are the key differences between what was offered previously as compared to now?
Mobile discounts (10% - 30% up to 5 lines) were only applicable to selected mobile plans previously, and popular plans like XO Plus plans and SIM Only plans were not included. In addition, discounts are not offered on the monthly subscriptions for Fibre Broadband and TV services.

With this update, upon successful re-nomination of your services, you will enjoy 10% discount on selected Mobile lines including XO Plus plans and SIM Only Plus (5G) plans (up to 15 Mobile lines) and continue to enjoy Annual Handset Upgrade fee waiver for Key Line ($350 for Combo plans & $200 for XO / XO Plus plans). In addition, a 10% discount is now applicable on eligible Fibre Broadband and TV plans.


What will happen to my existing Singtel Circle benefits if I do not re-nominate my services?
If you do not take any action, you will continue to enjoy your current multi-line discount on your Mobile lines till 28 Feb 2022.

However, the multi-Line discount will be changed to 10% thereafter, and all multi-Line discounts and benefits will cease from 1 Jun 2022.

We recommend that you nominate your existing services via www.singtel.com/circlenomination to enjoy better discounts with these updated Singtel Circle benefits.

What are the requirements to be eligible for the updated benefits under Singtel Circle?

You need to be subscribing to the following under the same account: •

• At least 1 Singtel Mobile XO Plus plan subscription;
• A Fibre Broadband plan of 1Gbps & above; and
• A Singtel TV subscription (Family Pack and above); and
• A Home Line service.

I'm currently on combo 3 and because of this change, it is cheaper for me to move to xo plus compared to sim only.

I tried the online singtel shop but when at the payment summary page, they never give me $100 discount for combo3 upgrade to xoplus88...
Is this not considered an upgrade?

Ya same for me. I am on XO78. Advertise said upgrade to XO88 can get $100 additional off. But when I checkout, I don't see the $100. XO78 to XO88 not considered upgrade?

Singtel always want to upsell their customer. Going to jump boat soon.

firstly, thanks for posting this, and the link (i wasn’t able to locate this on ST page prior)

i only knew about this on Thursday when i was at the CWP ST Shop and the CSO informed me
was kinda taken aback

there were a few misconceptions of her part

firstly, i didn’t know it would be flat 10% discount regardless of the number of lines & bundles.
secondly, she told me i need to change one of my 2 combo plans to XO PLUS. but she didnt say that the XO Plus can be keyline after the change (the difference in recontract fees between a combo vs XO Plus keyline is the waiver of $350 vs $200 respectively ya ? )
thirdly, she didn’t say that XO Plus line would enjoy the 10% discount under the new changes.

so presently, i’m under ST Circle
all i need do is change my Combo 2 line to XO Plus 50 (the equivalent of C2 in terms of $$) … i’d still be able to do annual handset upgrades (albeit i have to top up since i’d be given only $200 recontract voucher vs the $350 for C2) right ?

is there anything else i’m missing ?

consider ending TV and fibre broadband. Revamp your fibre BB, and tv programmes. Do we still need the TV programme? Or are they wants?

1) you’ll need to change your combo to XO Plus … in order to continue enjoying ST Circle beyond 2022 …

2) if u do not do switch your combo to XO PLUS … you will only enjoy Annual Upgrade Fee Waiver for your Combo line of up to $350 1 last time (depending on contract eligibility … which is what i’m unclear of coz not sure which month they take into account).
IF u do switch to XO PLUS, you’ll maintain your ST Circle status but your annual upgrade fee waiver will be $200 instead of $350.
[the change is XO PLUS can be keyline now. previously XO & XO PLUS cannot be keyline … albeit the annual upgrade fee is $200 instead of $350 … meaning need to top up wor]

i think this is what the change in rules meant … i have yet to sort mine out, likely some time this week … so perhaps now you’ll have some idea … BUT please do confirm with the CSO and not take my words for it

eg Combo 3 —> XO PLUS 50 IS NOT allowed.
• XO PLUS line can now be nominated Keyline (previously not allowed) … BUT Annual Handset Upgrade Fee offset given is $200 (vs $350 for Combo keyline) ie need to top up $150 own $$$ every year u do annual recontract
• the 10% discount does not cover Add-Ons eg Data X, 5G NOW, etc
• Combo —> XO PLUS change is not a recontract, so your original recontract date should not be affected … unless of coz you recontract and purchase a handset during the process.

Hints (you need to verify or work it out yourself depending on your situation) :
1) was told changes might take 2 billing cycles to reflect … might have a situation where your discounts might not be applicable at all ie ZERO …
BUT i thought it through, and it doesn’t make sense … i think … so long as u get your updates/nominations done in FEB 2022 … even though the faq says discounts reduce to 10% on 1 March 2022, and cease 1 June 2022.
onbiously, if you are currently enjoying 30% discounts at this moment, why would u rush to effect the changes to 10% way before Feb right ?
(call and verify please. don’t take my suggestion for granted. but i think i make sense ya lol)
