It’s an intended feature. If you are used to driving Japanese cars you will think the bmw steering is heavy. It’s meant to be precise driving at high speeds. The newer Bmws has electric steering that adjusts stiffness according to speed but many diehard fans complains about it.

The old BMW steering is so much better. The newer steering, Servotronics, does not provide the same feel at all. BMW has also lost its “angel eyes”, another hallmark of BMW from afar.

Fortunately, some car companies allow selection of steerings: comfort or dynamic.

There is creaking sounds but you just need to do simple mopping between door rubber seal and the floor base to clean up water residuals, once done no more sounds
