Entry level desktop + printer

Hi, please advise an entry level desktop for a small tuition centre & stationary shop.

Main uses:
- keying in customer parriculars
- inventory updates
- accounting entries
- light Web surfing and movie watching.

Main worries is the backup of the customer details.. So would prefer a solid hdd to avoid easy corruption.

Please also recommend a laser printer that can fax print copy scan.

Inclusive of a monitor, budget is around $1.2k. If below $1k even better as it's really a small home biz.

Are you capable of repairing PC? If you need on-site reparation support, you should still go for branded ones for a peace of mind.

I don't have much experience with using laser printers but have been using HP ones in office (from SAF lah) and so far so good.

A solid state drive (SSD) is less susceptible to failure than a normal hard disk drive (HDD) but it doesn't mean that your data would be safe just by using a SSD instead of a HDD.

An easy way to make sure your data is safe is to always back things up. It could be making a daily copy to a thumbdrive or even using free cloud sync software like Dropbox (so that your files are always backed up online - needs an internet connection).

Had been thinking to recommend SSD but the irrecoverably of any accidentally-destroyed data (especially after TRIM) made me rethink about this.. Perhaps i am too paranoid about this...
