I just installed the new OBU on my car.

The newer batch is slimmer and the display is quite okay.

Some useful features are display of the flash card value and bus lane and speed limit warnings.

I walked around my car park just now. Roughly 80% are still on the original OBU.

got pics? is it better to not install the display or?

Okay to install for me. The display thickness is about 8 mm.

I quite like to big time and date stamp as I'm forgetful.

The sample photo is the lower one on top.

Sorry, the earlier pictures are just mockups and prototypes during development stage by NCS vendor. Never released to public at all

What LTA is installing now is the same since day 1, e.g the same model you have installed.

The OBU came installed on my new car.
It looks nice to me, the display acts as another useful clock and date for me.
No issue with the card unit too, doesn't get in the front passenger's way at all.

Don't understand what was all the fuss about during the initial rollout.

i got letter from LTA to install the new OBU and they "threaten" that installation is free now but next time i will need to pay for installation.
