Telcos : Now that all these iphones can only use esim, we can charge whatever they want and they will have to accept it ! "

They are now waiting for the full transition to eSIM so they do not have to send out physical SIM anymore while charging for convenience fee.

Whatever black mirror **** that we think can happen, will happen in SG

Right now only GOMO has unlimited eSIM scanning for their QR code. I am just waiting patiently for them to quietly remove it and do what the red light does best

Yes, same sentiments, and ending up in this situation unless mandated/regulated. 🤡 :ROFLMAO:
We're an easy bunch to tame, since its all oligopoly.

We don't have to be tamed.
We are tamed already.

When government is in bed with businesses, its people already have their butt cleaned and prepped

Sorry, just ranting.

I think when Apple release only eSIM iPhones (I think likely this year due to AI), everyone will follow. By then we will get free eSIM transfer because the company that offer free eSIM transfer will get all the business. Subsequent competitors have to do it else they can eat air and drink rainwater
Won’t happen, telcos still charging for SIM card replacement after decades. Even when they became free on mvno’s.

You see more and more shifting away from the big 3. For me, my company paid but I am using MVNO.

eSIM and regular sim should have no performance or reliability difference unless the eSIM chip is your phone is malfunctioning ?

Unfortunately, It's already stated in the QnA for eSIM so you cannot avoid paying for it.

https://giga.com.sg/FAQs_Details.aspx?QuestionId=6409
There's no limit to the number of times you can reinstall your giga eSIM! Simply head on to our giga app > Mega Menu > SIM Services > Reinstall eSIM, to request for a new eSIM which you can then install on your preferred mobile phone or device! There may be a fee incurred with each SIM swap.

i went to their fb
When i contact their FB for other issue, also took almost a day to reply.

Chat agent was dam useless for me.

Anyone know if singtel esim on iphone can be transfer using eSIM quick transfer on iphone to iphone for free?
No. None of the telco in Singapore allows this. Which is plain moronic imho.

Is only up to Apple to push these idiotic product decisions from our telcos.
