You call and check? Also ask if need to change phone later need to pay for new esim or not. If need then better to stick to psim first, unless you're getting the iPhone Air.

1. As per Singtel eSIM FAQ, you need to pay S$10.90 if you want to switch from Physical SIM to eSIM.

Reference:

How do I purchase an eSIM or switch from a physical SIM to eSIM? How much does it cost?

Choose a phone plan and select eSIM as your SIM type.
eSIM is chargeable at $10.90. (Inclusive of GST)

2. However, if you are using 4G SIM, you can change to 5G+ physical SIM or eSIM for free.

https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/mobile/5g-plus

Here’s how to enjoy Singtel 5G+.

Step 1: Ensure that you’re on a 5G Standalone (SA)-compatible handset.

To enjoy the full experience, ensure that you’re on a 5G SA-compatible handset. Or, choose from a wide variety of 5G SA handsets with Singtel today.

Step 2: Check that you are on a 5G+ compatible SIM card or eSIM.

If you’re using a 4G SIM card, simply change to a 5G+ eSIM via My Singtel app from 24 April 2025. Or, stop by any of our self-service kiosks to upgrade your SIM card for FREE.

But Singtel eSIM FAQ seems to be quite confusing. #3 seems to say it is free and can reuse the eSIM installation email. #7 seems to say eSIM can only be installed once.

Strange. Guess I am missing something here...

3. How do I transfer my eSIM to another device?
1). Delete eSIM from your current device.
On iOS, go to Settings > Mobile Data. Tap on Delete eSIM.
2). On your new device, open your eSIM installation email and tap Install eSIM.
3). Follow the steps from there or find out how in our set up eSIM guide.

7. How can I remove an eSIM from my device?

In your device settings, go to the Mobile Service/SIM Manager page. Select the eSIM you want to remove from the SIM profiles listed.

Important to note: Your eSIM can only be installed once. If it is removed by accident, a replacement eSIM will cost $10.90.

Unfortunately many lower end and mid-range phones still do not support eSIM. I bought two Poco X6 Pro in 2024 and two Poco X7 Pro phones in 2025. None of them support eSIM.

Poco F7, F7 Pro and even Poco F7 Ultra do not support eSIM either.

Interestingly Poco X7 is the odd one as it does support eSIM.

Of course you can try eSIM adapter. I just got LinkLan eSIM adapter from Taobao and it seems to work fine.
