Hi,

I am wondering if anyone can help me with the below issue.
Currently using Asrock Z170 Extreme 4 with Windows 10 Home Edition 1909 (updated on 21 Dec 2019).

The issue started on 15 Jan 2020 when my ethernet adapter (Intel Ethernet Connection (2) I1219-V) disable by itself. I tried to enable it thereafter, but was not able to. PC will experience BSOD (power state driver failure) when I try to reboot after (have to wait 5 mins for every reboot). After reboot, it will be fine for a few hours (sometimes 1 day no issue) but the issue will always resurface again.
I try to isolate the problem by connecting to the modem direct instead. But the issue is still there. So not router problem.

I tried upgrading my ethernet driver, first by using Update Driver in Device Manager, then from Intel website. I uninstall all ethernet drivers and download the mobo version from Asrock website as well, but still doesn't resolve the issue.

I tried setting "Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power" under power management as well. I tried Network Reset, netsh winsock reset, ipconfig release/renew and flushdns...however all the above doesn't solve the problem.

Anyone have any experiences with this?

Your 4 year Mobo Ethernet Port spoil already.
You can go spend around $20 and buy yourself a new USB3 Ethernet Port.

Might be chipset overheating...
And if suay, poor soldering of chipset.
My old asrock Z77 pro 3 had this issue. Sata ports unresponsive after a few hours. Turns out 2 ports Unusable. I got myself a pcie sata card when I converted that pc to Nas. That pc is dead now, can't detect ram

After a recent update, my access to the internet slowed to a crawl. I assumed it was the ISP. Restarted modem and router all, still same result. In the end, it turns out to be the PC ethernet.

A restart of the PC fixed it. Super lame. Yet I dunno why it had to happen. Now seeing this, guess it has something to do with the Windows 10 update. Oh well, back to jamming updates for at least 1 month till an update fixes an update that breaks things. :s13:

Just defer updates until the "guinea pigs" have ferret out the problems. I'm on 1903 and only upgraded after the bugs have been worked out.

Win10 initial concept is one OS for PC/Mobile/Tablet.

In the end we left with half @ss product and GUI for PC.

Connecting a USB-only modem to an Ethernet-only network device simply will not work.

These network cables are designed to connect two computers, but for them to work properly, special network drivers must be used to manage the USB end of the connection.Good luck!:)

I just created a restore point and rollback to 1903. Pray and hope for the best the issue does not reoccur.

Although my mobo did not have the BSOD problem with the Ethernet, my problem should be similar to yours. The Ethernet connection will also fail after a while, sometimes a few days. End up I have to disable and enable it at the Device Manager.

In the end I decided to just buy a PCIE Ethernet adapter. Bought a cheap Broadcom one.... quite ok and stable.

It may not be the ethernet port spoil..but could be a W10 bug.
https://www.neowin.net/news/latest-windows-10-update-reportedly-causes-network-adapter-failure-for-some-users/

Hoping for suggestions for me to try to isolate whether it is a W10 issue or ethernet port problem.

It could be due to bad contact at ethernet port. Try to spray little switch cleaner into the socket and clean it up. Next thing is use another ethernet cable. Make sure is cat 5a or better type.

Still encounter issues after rollback...so I restore back to 1909.

Try reading the memory dump logs created during BSOD and I think I found the problem...it is Malwarebytes. Dump file says the crash are created by:
CI.dll (checks integrity of drivers)
MbamChameleon.sys (Malwarebytes driver)
ntoskrnl.exe (Windows kernel)

Malwarebytes disables internet

And I am not the only 1 with the same problem from MBAM forums...
