3rd day usage.. battery life till now left 60% .. only use to text play some games and surf net.. looks good compare to the first 2 days of Usage

- 9 hrs 1 mins of standby
- 6 hrs 38 mins of usage (Includes gaming)

Really does seems good.

yeah, i raise to wake to see my notifications, but once it detects my face and the lock icon becomes unlocked.. tadah, all gone.

After it detects your face, the notification messages that were set to private become readable. Very nice feature

Did you set the notifications to show only when unlocked? Or did you set up your phone as new?

I suspect the show notifications set to "always" was from the backup I had.

Did you set the notifications to show only when unlocked? Or did you set up your phone as new?

I suspect the show notifications set to "always" was from the backup I had.

yeah i set it to always, because i dont wanna have the need to lift up my phone to see notifications.

Plus all the photos are downloading still in the background.

I force the photos to load faster by scrolling thru them to force the downloads.

After that the phone runs much cooler

nope doesn't happen for me. after FaceID unlock, notifications still there

My Moleskin timepage app's notification/reminders are still there after FaceID unlock. Didn't pay attention to others yet.

7. Slide up from bottom and hold half = Mutlitasking

So far I notice if my thumb starts off at the bottom left corner & I swipe upwards diagonally towards the top right corner i.e. start from SouthWest & swipe towards North East that does the same thing as bottom swipe up halfway and hold.

No choice lah, have to cut as the iPhone X screen ratio is not standard media size ratio

To close app during multitasking, no need press and hold. Just leave your finger there and the cancellation option will appear. Can be gentle

Those so called #androidalreadyusing features of Note 7 are more gimmicks than anything else. Have read the iris scanners, face recognition hardly work at all. So buyers are paying for features that fail 90% of the time. No doubt it is an absolutely beautiful looking device.

Huh? Did you even try it out yourself? The iris scanner on the Note 7/8 works just like FaceID is on iPhone X. It has to be at the right angle.

Going by your argument, I'm also "reading" a lot of failed FaceID here, and all over the Internet. Does this mean FaceID is a gimmick?

Samsung face recognition is only able to recognize face while Face ID is able to recognize face and depth which is the key differentiation.

Seriously, I can't fathom how anyone will ever NEED a talking emoji. This animoji, is the pinnacle embodiment of the word "gimmick", in my opinion.
