So does this translate to at least 7.5w for non fast charging devices?

From my understanding, samsung wireless charger (fast charge) support up to 10w.

So currently, iPhone only support till 5w via wireless.
I guess once ios 11.2, using the samsung wireless charger can support iphone max of 7.5w.

it’s only if Apple enable the 7.5W fast wireless charging in iOS 11.2 final build, need to wait for their official final release notes.

Btw, for Samsung wireless charger there is a weird issue as it will keep charging the iPhone despite iPhone show 100% full charge.

The LED indicator on the charger will stay at blue (which mean forever at charging state) instead of switching to green LED (full charge complete state), so do take note if you’re using any Samsung wireless charger to charge your iPhone 8/8+/X.

It’s depends on individual, there is nothing wrong with it at all. Personally I prefer true to life Apple colour tuning for their OLED rather than Samsung OLED punchy output.

iPhone X OLED display is made by Samsung but tuned and calibrated by Apple themselves to have a more natural and true to life vibe, close to sRGB at 6500K white balance.

On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy flagship lineup for years calibrated for a more punchy output (we should all know by now, no need to even say) displaying more saturation usually slightly more colour range that standard sRGB making the colour having that “pop” effect on our eyes.

It’s also true that most customers like that punchy colour but it tend to be less true to life so due to the punchy colour what you see on the display when comparing to actual object, the colour will have some difference.

Already selected Preserve settings so that I want to keep the LIVE photos settings OFF, (instead of reset to ON). But it keeps going back to Live photos ON. How to permanently Off it??

that's good to hear. ordered! can't wait :D

There’s a catch though. In order for it to work at 10W, it has to be connected to adaptive fast charger from Samsung which has a spec of 9V 1.67A.

You anyhow connect to 5V 2A charger will only give u 5V 1A wireless charging which equates to 5W.
