my iPhone x had poor battery life

under the settings -battery it seems like usage and standby time always the same , despite the phone on standby most of the time

I had that issue but lately it's back to normal, so far so good, keeping fingers crossed.

Always remember to fully charge your phone, even when it just turns 100%, leave it for around another 10mins. Monitor from there.

Do a Reset Network settings followed by a hard reset for iPhone X. I experienced same usage and standby time for my iPhkne X too. I googled and problem solved.

You shouldn't do this, no reasons given.

Extreme OLED test finds Apple's iPhone X takes much longer to 'burn in' images than Samsung Galaxy Note 8

By the 62-hour mark, the Note 8 began showing a sudden and noticeable signs of burn-in, despite not having significant signs prior. The tester asked people to identify burned in parts of the screen while displaying a white image, and while they had no trouble identifying it on the Note 8, it was not visible to users on the iPhone X.

The test, first spotted by BGR, eventually ran for a whopping 510 hours, or more than 21 days —well beyond the amount of time that any smartphone OLED display would ever show a static image in normal daily usage.

In the end, the Galaxy Note 8 showed the worst signs of burn-in after the marathon test. The Galaxy S7 Edge, despite being a 2016 phone, performed admirably, but was still bested by the 2017 iPhone X.

After three weeks of displaying the same image on maximum brightness, all three handsets expectedly had potentially permanent signs of burn-in. But the tests also show that Apple's efforts to reduce the effects of OLED burn-in have paid off.

Face ID ok what. Better than Samsung retina unlock. I see my Daughter using her Samsung to unlock via retina she also pek chek.

I take out phone from my pocket, tap screen once, and slide up to unlock. The Face ID unlocks the phone while I’m sliding up. No lag. Damn fast.

Do note that for Face id, there is a setting to set if User's eye is looking at the phone screen or not before unlock.

I tried before, if this is set, even with the phone facing my face and the eye is looking somewhere else, it will not unlock. only when looking at the screen or the Front camera portion, then it will unlock.

I find this quite a nice feature, if you find that faced sucks and this is the case, you may want to check if out.

but sometimes it may be quite irritating as you need to position the phone in such a way that it does "see" the face
