I've bought my X since 2nd day of launch on Nov 4th and have been using wireless charging since. Only about a week back then from 100% dropped to 98%.

It takes longer time to reach 100%

The 'issue' with fast charging (This includes Android) that you may charge it up as fast as you can but people forget that they equally discharge it as fast too.

The faster you use up the battery cycles the faster it degrades.

A normal battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 500 complete charge cycles when operating under normal conditions.

You complete one charge cycle when you’ve used (discharged) an amount that equals 100% of your battery’s capacity — but not necessarily all from one charge.

For instance, you might use 75% of your battery’s capacity one day, then recharge it fully overnight. If you use 25% the next day, you will have discharged a total of 100%, and the two days will add up to one charge cycle.

It could take several days to complete a cycle. The capacity of any type of battery will diminish after a certain amount of recharging.

Also to save our Apple lithium-ion battery uses fast charging to quickly reach 80% of its capacity, then switches to slower trickle charging. The amount of time it takes to reach that first 80% will vary depending on your settings and which device you’re charging. Software may limit charging above 80% when the recommended battery temperatures are exceeded. This combined process not only lets you get out and about sooner, it also extends the lifespan of your battery.

If let’s say it requires you to enter in the password instead of using Face ID, go to Settings —> Face ID & Passcode —> in the iTunes and App Store option (to use Face ID for), turn it off and turn it back on. Enter in your Apple ID password.

After doing so, purchasing and/or downloading apps from the iTunes and/or the App Store should prompt you to verify with Face ID.

If battery always very hot while charging, it can shorten the lifespan wan

Just bought an iPhone X, anything I should take note of? I noticed oob display setting using True Tone is very yellowish. So tuned the and Color correct to get it as close as True Tone display off. Any idea if Apple will fix it in iOS 12?

I’m aware about that, but trading this for convenience is one thing. The lifespan of the battery may not last as long as when you charge via regular 5W adapter lightning cable, but the rate of degradation is not too drastic.

Then turn it off. It not broken or bugged it sounds like it is functioning properly.

If you stand in a dimly lit room illuminated by a table lamp, for instance, a True Tone display appears warmer and yellower, much like a piece of paper would in the same light. Stand outside on an overcast day, however, and the same display looks cooler and bluer, as would the same piece of paper.

You might want to see if it is night shift that turns on as well.

The drain by charging cycles is constant, so charging wirelessly or cable about the same but add along the heat element from wireless charging and it will degrade even faster.

Cabled fast charging also the same, generates a lot more heat than the ordinary charger.

That is one reason why I only charge directly using cable. Have not tried wireless also due to the cost of wireless chargers

i tried tho. but i dun like it because it makes the phone too hot.

li-ion battery cannot tahan too hot...will die fast wan
