In fact it depends on your usage pattern, method of charging and frequency of charging.

My X bought on 2nd day of launch all the while stayed at 100% until early May dropped to 98% and recently 96%. I charge mainly on wireless and charged daily, sometimes twice. My highest usage is Pokémon GO and Spotify.

Ditto that. 100%. Bought on day one.
Never charge wirelessly before due to use of metal plate for car mount.

Charge it whenever and wherever I can. In car, home, office etc. Batt power almost perpetually at 80-100%.

Higher temperatures can really hurt batteries. Even extreme cold too.

Also according to Apple, the battery is designed to retain up to 80 percent of its original capacity at 500 complete charge cycles - https://www.apple.com/batteries/service-and-recycling/

If you have a MacOS device you can install CoconutBattery https://www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutbattery/ to see how many cycles has been used by your iPhone and even you Mac. You will be surprised at how fast you can actually use up your cycles.

Yes I’ve coconutbattery on my MBP, currently around 317 cycles, used since launch in mid 2015 and still has 91% capacity. I’ve not taken note of the phone one. When I get home this evening I’ll go check it out.

This is pretty much what you can expect in 2018 iphone.

Price range wise like what many people have said, spot on.

Iphone 8 pricing will be the new budget 2018 iphone.

Iphone 8 plus pricing will be the new 2018 iphone X follow up.

Iphone X pricing will be the new 2018 iphone X plus pricing.

The rest will be storage diff pricing.

Iphone X plus will have 3 camera modules. With this release, pretty sure androids phone will copy again.

In simple term, if you can re-contract near sept or intend to buy a phone there, it will be the obvious choice to wait for the new iphones.

Current iphone price will drop, but i do not expect X pricing to drop a lot. After all, with the new iphone 2018 X, no point buying a X, unless got budget issue.

Well, are you using or even streaming Spotify, listening to it will not make usage fall under on screen as long as the application is not in the foreground. Cause unless you have allowed Spotify under Background App Refresh it shouldn't be running.

HOWEVER, I would recommend killing clearing out Spotify from your multi-tasking when you are not using it. Spotify Connect could be the reason for this if you are using Premium, cause it does broadcast and keeps an active connection between your devices.

Yes. Very normal. Imagine a train cabin being quickly stuffed with people through the small door. Everyone has to rub against each other shoulder to shoulder, alot of friction.
