Iphone 8+ and X share the same processor and RAM, so performance is identical.

Thou I wonder if the X will have faster graphics than the 8+. The reason is because the X has a true 3x retina screen while the 8+ requires an additional downsamplkng step when rendering graphics.

The opposite, performance may be slightly better on iPhone 8 due to lower resolution means less GPU performance required.

8/8+/X all share the same chip, A11, 6 cores cpu, 3 cores gpu.

All different resolutions though

I believe overall, won't have much differences between the model if any.

I'm sure the GPU is capable enough for iPhone X's resolution, so iPhone 8 and 8 Plus with a lower resolution will just mean the GPU isn't running as hard, so lower power consumption.

But performance will be the same.

I know about aspect ratio lah but if u find 8+ too big (esp for jeans pocket) but 8 screen too small, X is for u.

Yes the resolution is lower but that’s not how the graphics are rendered on the plus series phones. The UI renders in 3x retina resolution but since the plus display isn’t 3x native, it has to be down sampled to the plus native resolution. Hence additional GPU cycles to accomplish this.

Yep. i have a colleague previously using the older Tablet Note 8 to make phone call as that is her only phone.
I also have that but i don't use that to make call as too big. Now as a spare tablet when I need to watch drama.. lol.

As for my colleague, since the Tablet Note 8's battery life seems to get drain up much faster and cannot be replaced easily. I think she switched to a Tap 3.. if not wrong.
