I didn’t know Jersey was a country. Can tell us where this country is located? Isle of Man too

You mean these tiny Crown dependency states are also getting the iPhone at the same time as those other countries?

actually there is more to it in the article.

Bloomberg reports that Apple has lowered the specifications for its Face ID components, to allow its supply chain to manufacture the iPhone X quicker. “It quietly told suppliers they could reduce the accuracy of the face-recognition technology to make it easier to manufacture,” says Bloomberg.

we are talking about reduced accuracy. not as advertised.

The thing is. Hard to make is one thing. Compromise to meet demand is another.

So it might even be a flaw product that is not as advertised.

So still can warrant the 999usd price tag ?

True that. Guess the first indication of stocks status will be after 3.05pm on Friday. If all stocks run out or shipping dates slip to weeks after 3 Nov, then it’s really bad.

Sorta of dampened my mood for the X. It’s supposed to be the most anticipated phone this year.

apple’s tolerances are usually well above the published data limits. compromising a little will still meet its world class standards.

If you have dealt with apple before regarding production, they have the strictest standard by any company, all the way down to the packaging. They control everything from manpower down to the process of the production.

There is no way they would reduce the accuracy of the sensor to meet production volume.

Dun worry. If courts also can sell iPhone x on launch day, shld b able to get a set. LOL!

Haha same here, because of the extreme high demand of the X vs. worldwide low launch supply. But I'm still holding on to the end until the pre-order result.
