Actually iPhone X screen is longer.

iPhone X - 19.5:9
Samsung Note 8 - 18.5:9

But because of the cutout, a lot of screen space is used up that’s why you feel it’s smaller.

blue tint is the signature of OLED.

no. actually jus lousy technology of OLED. give me back my LCD

Apple already done a marvellous job in the OLED display in iPhone X. It’s the best in class among all the OLEDs.

In fact, Apple actually designed the OLED in house and get Samsung to manufacture to their standard.

A good app/game that does the new aspect ratio justice is Mario Run, hope more devs wil optimise it this way.

Thanks! I just chatted with Apple Support and apparently this is a new feature called "Attention Aware Features" which we can enable or disable it in setting.

Other than this auto adjusting of the ringtone volume, are there any other "Attention Aware Features"? I actually turned that off because I don't want my phone to be constantly scanning my face (which I assume to be a serious battery drainer).

Attention aware features only works for dimming of display and lowerin of alert volume.

colour distortion is common problem on OLED

tried it and dont really like the silver shiny sides leh, prefer matt, the silver sides makes it feel cheap
