As you can see the original wallpaper top and bottom are black, it’s just nice that it fit perfectly!

Those who need to use Face ID in the dark, turn up screen brightness. My brightness is less than the half way mark. Abt 40% i think. Tried unlocking my phone at 6 am (curtains are closed) & it couldn’t read my face 🤔

Are you lying down side way .. Face ID won’t work on landscape orientation

so hard to resist the itch. LOL

got my iphone X yday way below RRP from a guy w/ telco recontract. I could say its just small coming from a plus user but will get used to it especially if most apps will get optimized to the screen.

shockingly google maps and email not optimized? WT google? :s13:

left it overnight and only 4% depletion, good isn't it?

so far love the size of the phone, new gestures, camera and the screen.

Thats where the debate is.

Some say its a defect some say its normal. Shall see what the genius say

They sure show you the recent Apple statement about variations in OLED screen and say it is ok. They won’t admit is “defective”.
They din believe me until I compared it side by side with their demo sets.

Your phone screen also looks yellowish when looking straight to it?

Did you manage to replace?

If apple orchard do not want to replace for you, and you insist that this is an issue, try going to QCD or A.lab and let them have a look. I won't be surprise they will replace for you instead of Apple orchard.

he got it refunded.

think Apple expects a lot of return units because iPhone users are not used to OLED, thats why they published the article on OLED.

shall see.

Just like samsung amoled. If at low brightness, it is yellowish. You need to up the brightness to see the yellowish disappear. But then, for me, yellowish feel more comfortable to my eyes than blueish.

The lead time changed to 3-4 weeks now. Meaning those who ordered last week likely to receive it soon.

Me too, going in the afternoon. If they refuse to exchange then I'll just live with the Colour Tint settings :/

Your solution.

And colour tint is not an issue.

The problem is when you put two phones side by side with same settings (e.g. True Tone off, night shift off, same colour tint..), but one phone looks yellowish and another phone looks perfectly white. Not about colour tint.

I refunded cos I decided to wait for next batch.

Yes i know. So put both side by side and this happen, have to see if they are willing to exchange for you.

Yellowish on amoled is common. Some LCD are also yellowish.

the left definitely looked like TT is on. then again very hard to tell also.

jus a few days after launch, so many discussion on OLED.
i guess welcome iPhone users to the world of OLED.

not sure how the rest of the world can tolerate such a display.

Mine is similar to the right, but I still feel annoyed by the yellowish tint
