This isn't live location.
This is an iOS feature known as Siri Suggestions.

So what happens is that whenever you reach home the first thing you have been accessing frequently is WhatsApp. So Siri learns that. Hence whenever you head to the App Switcher. It'll suggest that App for you for easier access.

None of these data is uploaded anywhere and is only local to your device.

To get rid of it
Settings → General → Siri

Turn off
Suggestions in Search
Suggestions in Look Up

Interesting. Thanks for the info

Thats what i did. All background off except messaging apps and social media apps

Take it a step further and put it to refresh on WiFi only. Honestly you don't need to set application to use background refresh.

Apple's defination of the Background refresh
After you switch to a different app, some apps run for a short period of time before they're set to a suspended state. Apps that are in a suspended state aren’t actively in use, open, or taking up system resources. With Background App Refresh, suspended apps can check for updates and new content.
If you want suspended apps to check for new content, go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh and turn on Background App Refresh. If you quit an app from the app switcher, it might not be able to run or check for new content before you open it again.

So unless you die die must have the latest content (Which honestly not really needed since everything 'refreshes' on app start up like FB. Keep it off. You would be better off saving battery and esp CPU cycles with loading on demand. Don't worry Notification will still come in.

Hi guys, do you guys experienced laggy on Whatsapp? It’s like when I press the send button, it took awhile to send out the message.
And going from one conversation to another also quite laggy.

If you guys are experiencing that the battery percentage stopped at 80% while charging, not to worry that there isn’t any issue with your iPhone or iOS.
