Only possibility I can think of is plugging in to charge in a 'rougher' way, hitting the edges.

I prefer iCloud to iTunes though. Chances of hard disk failure on Mac higher than cloud storage services cui. And chances of having an updated backup of your phone higher compared to iTunes cos the latter requires you to plug in and update regularly. iCloud backup happens when you connect to WiFi and charged. Which is what we usually do every night?

To each own la, the monthly recurring charge could be something not everyone want to pay. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Not sure if I fully trust iCloud though.
SO encountered a few times in which contacts on phone suddenly disappeared overnight.. log in to iCloud through PC and all the contacts there were gone also... so no way to restore from there.

Luckily I installed a separate app that periodically back up contacts in addition to iCloud

I have the same problem as well. I got to restart the phone to clear aaay that lag.

I have since perform reset all settings and in the midst of monitoring.

i do carefully insert the cable. but still happen.
there is once i accidentally miss q the port, thus hit tio the edge below the screen. also kena scratched.

now either live with it or refund then purchase a new set. =x

This phone is not cheap, S$1.6-1.8K please.

I also using lightning cable to charge, but mine looks so okay even under magnifying glass. I see minute wear and tear but not that obvious like the picture.. I Guess it’s user dependent..

in the long run well never know what will happen to the black stainless band. So I guess silver is safest.

if you put case, it doesn't matter actually.
