this is the problem with showing games that are too far out. now everything is 2018.

some of the higher profile games are already shown in 2016 E3, this year jus more trailer and gameplay.

Microsoft won this year's E3.

Thought Ubisoft was the clear winner this year. Sony's one was damn weak.

LOL This year Sony E3 super underwhelming. Huge waste of time with PS VR, Destiny, COD, Days Gone etc.

Since HZD announce the dlc, now I'm not sure if I should get it digitally on sale since later they will release GOTY complete edition. :s11:

No new AAA shown at all, a bit underwhelming, tho there are quite a no of VR entries.
Detroit still no release date after so long, dreams never even appear. At least horizon expansion later this year and god of war in early 2018 as expected.

So basically for the rest of this year, we have:

- knack 2 lol
- uncharted lost legacy
- gran turismo sport
- matterfall
- ni no kuni 2 (also on pc)
- horizon expansion
- crash trilogy

Kinda disappointing, many good games but nothing much exciting, except SoC. Maybe cos I am not too interested in VR yet (and still nothing new to change that) and no interest in Destiny 2 or Detroit (both took up a lot of time). Spiderman feels like Batman in the beginning part, then it became QTE game.

The streaming production really amateurish, at first have that audio problem, then throughout the show they kept showing the audience... everyone was busy taking notes, or look uninterested. They really don't know how and, more importantly, WHEN to switch to audience reaction, and obviously had no idea WHO in the audience to zoom in to (none of those zoomed guys look excited about anything). And they don't know how to increase the mic volume from the room when capturing audience reaction.

Btw, that spider-man bad guy Lee looks like 陈之财. Earlier in another game trailer, there's one char with lots of screen time that looks exactly like Jane Douglas from the OutsideXbox youtube channel.

i felt like that Sony got the wrong message from last year's E3......E3 2016 Sony just released trailers after trailers with very few intermission in between and got a huge applause....and then they think...."Well, if they like this...why not we just do 99% trailers!!!" and really did that......which just make the E3 Conference really 'un-hyped'...

really, this is really Sony's weakest E3 conference for the past 4 years......The games itself are great...the presentation, not so much,

Sony run out of steam liao.. no more new exclusives at least for now, TGS probably also won't see anything new if last year is any indication. Have to wait till playstation experience in dec to see.

They have to, since sony increasing production for ps vr they need to rebuild the hype. I'm disappointed that there's no price drop tho lol.

Sony still got TGS and PSX in the 2nd half of the year.

so i guess thats the reason why they are spread out so thin.

but still silly almost nothing got a concrete date.

People always say they want to see games, not someone talking endlessly on the stage. Sony took that to the extreme this time... and failed. (Good thing is they didn't show the same games that others have already shown.)

Perhaps the atmosphere there on site is much better than what we saw. Maybe people were cheering but due to the amateurish production we are not feeling it. It's the difference between a well made concert video and a bad one; it needs to get the home audience to feel like they are there and any excitement in the crowd is contagious. This one fails badly (even if the contents is lacking, perhaps withheld, to begin with).

Disappointing performance for 2017 E3.

But so far, only PS4's Exclusives look promising.

If you are going to have a press conference, you want to take that time to promote games that consumers can only experience on their platform. So for that, I can give a bit of credit to Sony. Sony never even state that some of those 'trailers' were really in-game. That's why people just take it as trailers.

Microsoft on the other hand... Promoting Porsche to the wrong target audience. Do most gamers out there look to buying a Porsche?
Then as for the games, Microsoft has failed to give a compelling reason for anyone to go out there and buy an Xbox. And especially the Xbox One X.
Almost all the games shown on Microsoft's conference are on other platforms. No reason why they should jump to Xbox. And the graphics for their exclusives... doubt they need the X1X power. :s13:

Xbox exclusives
- Ori and the Will of the Wisps
- Sea of Thieves
- Unruly Heroes

(I am not kidding. out of the 40+ games announced, only these are exclusive. Forza 7 is on PC too)

Playstation exclusive
- 13 Sentinels: Aegis RIM
- Bravo Team
- Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy
- Days Gone
- Dissidia Final Fantasy NT
- Final Fantasy XV: Monsters of the Deep
- God of War
- Gran Turismo Sport
- Hidden Agenda
- Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds DLC
- Knack 2
- Moss
- Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash
- Shadow of the Colossus
- Spider-Man
- Star Child
- The Inpatient
- Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
- Yakuza 6

(These were announced to only appear on the Playstation Family. I didn't even include some PSVR titles like Final Fantasy fishing simulator)

think the list can cut down when you take out those not this year and without a proper release date :s13:

You can remove all the xbox "exclusives", all those are out on PC also. The last real xbox exclusive was halo 5. Every other xbox "exclusive" after that has pc version (albeit win 10 exclusive mostly).
