E3 is for live demos...i guess everyone is stage frightened...
Sony did show quite a lot of live demos, at least they are in-game gameplay, just not sure if pre-recorded or live. In the past they would have put ppl on the stage to play it. Honestly that would have been a better approach, at least more interactive (and hey, if the demo player makes a mistake, so what, ppl knows it's real). This year it seems they are determined to have the whole stage empty and just show videos. I guess it's a direction they wanted to take and not just afraid of repeating the Uncharted 4 stage fright incident.

PS. Ppl misunderstood that to be due to glitch in the UC4 game. In reality, they had a main and a backup ps4 for the show, the presenter accidentally took the wrong controller (for the backup ps4), so Nate (from main ps4) was not responding. They just switched to display the backup ps4 instead and it all worked after that.

think the list can cut down when you take out those not this year and without a proper release date :s13:

It is fair to say most games on the list coming out latest by Early 2018 which is within one year. If it were to not release until next year's E3, will definitely take it out. In other words, games like God of War.

And don't tell me out of those 3 Xbox exclusive which I realize is also coming to PC do you even find to be a AAA title worth playing?

Monster hunter world looks like the China version enhanced and launch for global audience.

Haha. Hoping it's not though.

The graphics doesn't look too impressive to me, almost like ps3 but higher res. But then, to those used to 魔物猎人 being 模糊猎人 all these years, it's astronomical improvement.

At first when I saw the beginning of the trailer, I thot it's Ark Survival Evolved. Then I thot ... wait, is this, can it be... Dragon's Dogma 2?! Capcom, you know what we want!

btw, some ppl think it's sp, there's actually 4p online.

You can remove all the xbox "exclusives", all those are out on PC also. The last real xbox exclusive was halo 5. Every other xbox "exclusive" after that has pc version (albeit win 10 exclusive mostly).

Which is one of the many reasons why the XBONE flopped so hard, they are making the same mistake again.

I don't think so, I played the china 1, gameplay is very mmo, don't have action moves like swing from tree to tree, or jump attack the monster from a cliff. This is very much a new monster hunter.

Its part of their plan, ever since they realise they can never catch up to ps4 in sales, they tried to integrate xbox and pc players as 1 community, hence all xbox exclusives are crossbuy with pc.

Its a sound plan, except the part where on pc side only the windows 10 store versions of the games can crossplay with xbox. At the most PC players would pick up the game, play single player, then go back to steam for their usual online gameplay. If the exclusives like ori got steam version they would get steam version. Integration plan failed.

They probably would have been better off doing it the sony way i.e. churn out more 1st party exclusives, but that's not microsoft's style, has never been, since xbox 360. They only lead back then cause of timing (released more than 1 year earlier) and price ($100 cheaper).

i also kinda think Microsoft is going after the PC market. specs for specs wise, Microsoft's 4k box is probably the cheapest 4k gaming box.

8 core + 6 Teraflops ('em Teraflops lol) + 12GB RAM (4GB to OS)

let's see how things turn out in 6 month's time.

go back watch the God of war trailers....i am seriously stoked about it....it look so good...

also, the director of the game just tweeted that the trailer was running on Standard PS4...........

i am seriously interested to know which era of norse mythology Kratos lands on...is it pre-Asgard 'formation of the gods' era or is it 'after ragnarok end of the norse gods' era?

Definitely interesting..

MS don't have steam......so i don't see how PC owners will ever get a Xbox.

yup. if developers can publish their games on Windows Store, there is a good chance they are using DirectX and also they will be able to port the game to Xbox One. why not let their games reach more audience and they only need to test their games on 2 SKUs.

that is also why Xbox on Windows 10 is a full suite, with recording, friend list and achievements. it's almost liked Steam.

of course that depends on whether publishers wanna publish their games in Windows Store.

i dunno. i am just not a fan of having PC specs in consoles. the big selling games are from 3 parties. i jus don't think 1st party games are enough to push system sales.

it's cool you like specs but specs with the bigger numbers never sell systems...

if it really does, then console will never exist at all and everyone will be on PC and you will see everyone driving Ferrari instead of QQ or KIA on the road. People will abandoned the Apple idevices if they really love the number specs....

The general people (and gamer) just want something that's 'good enough' but with minimum fuss........and good exclusives.

Also, the Switch is literally selling itself based on ONE 1st party game....and it seems to be doing quite well.

i was reading an interview with Michael Pachter and the interviewer asked him: "What do you think about the Xbox One X more powerful specs against the PS4 Pro? How do you think the people and Sony will react?"

His reply: "Nobody other than the extreme hardcore minority will care. It's like comparing who is the tallest midget. Who cares?"

only god of war, Detroit and HZD DLC and Uncharted DLC interest me.

If you see the gameplay, it is nowhere near how Spiderman used to play. I've played the old ones before. It is nothing like this at all.
This has almost all the mechanics of Batman Arkham games including how Spiderman swings from building to building.

I love the Arkham games so getting a chance to play in the Marvel version of Batman with more stories is always welcome.

got money to buy their 4k box but no money to buy 4k tv, thats the most common problem for many, or rather.... why would i change my tv when its still healthy? most people think like that. people will wait until their tv is really spoil then change new one.

yes...that's why sony is 'kinda' smart not 'going all out' on the Pro like the Xbox One X is........because 4k tv penetration is still too low..

i think by the time 4k tv penetration reached about 40%, PS5 will be upon us then....

that being said, i will be upgrading to a 4k tv soon as i am moving house and my current 1080p samsung tv is giving me cracking noise and out of warranty so why not? That and a PS4 Pro.

eh...i think your fatigue stems from Super heroes as whole from the movies...

in terms of games, the last spider-man game came out during the ps3 era.....that's like more than 4 years ago..

also, this spider-man game is not like other 'activision' licensed crap....this is by Insomniac. I have faith in that. The best thing is...it's not a tie-in for the movie (as it's not released side-by-side with the upcoming movie) so there's no rush to market problem.
