Sony did show quite a lot of live demos, at least they are in-game gameplay, just not sure if pre-recorded or live. In the past they would have put ppl on the stage to play it. Honestly that would have been a better approach, at least more interactive (and hey, if the demo player makes a mistake, so what, ppl knows it's real). This year it seems they are determined to have the whole stage empty and just show videos. I guess it's a direction they wanted to take and not just afraid of repeating the Uncharted 4 stage fright incident.E3 is for live demos...i guess everyone is stage frightened...
PS. Ppl misunderstood that to be due to glitch in the UC4 game. In reality, they had a main and a backup ps4 for the show, the presenter accidentally took the wrong controller (for the backup ps4), so Nate (from main ps4) was not responding. They just switched to display the backup ps4 instead and it all worked after that.
