Sorry to hijack this but does anyone know where to street food stores outside CentralWorld shifted to? It seems that after the building of the elevated walkway, the stores are no longer at the usual place.

I believe its a move by the junta to clean up the streets from all the roadside hawkers?

Yes I am here now in BKK and I stay in siam area. They move around the same area but further away.

So quiet along the stretch of road from Siam to MBK. There are also temp police stop to deter any sellers.

Google map for Mercure/Ibis Siam and you will see Tesco Lotus along the same road. The shifted market is on the same side but further down.

SIC Google for "Show DC" a new shopping center and they have free shuttle buses from both airports and various hotels. You can save on transport

1) Use Eatigo app to get 50% off buffet at Atelier @ Pullman Grande Sukhumvit. I find the variety and quality of the food to be very good (personal opinion).

2) There is a new Talak Neon night market near Platinium Fashion Mall, beside Bekeley Hotel. It's opened from Wed to Sun and I find it's concept similar to Rachada night market.

Loads of ladies clothing at Platinium Fashion Mall and Pratunam market area
If those are not your style then I guess you need to hit the more atas shopping malls at Siam/Central area

i tried novotel platinum buffet 399b ++ not bad ...
the ones at novotel ploenchit, not much choices ...

holiday inn sukhuvmit still ok ...
now going to try marriott for my bkk trip 382.50b ++
