for hotel booking (big amount), which payment recommended?
Credit card or Cash in NTD (in this case, have to go to exchange quite lots of cash)?

normally would pay online
cox can use discount vouchers for some ota such as Expedia :)
Price would definitely be cheaper, compared to if you were to pay there.
this applies to most hotels ... not all though ...
cox some hotels in taiwan, their price is cheaper if u book directly with them.

Thanks. What I meant is to book online, and pay at the hotel when check out.

e.g booking.com, basically I just booked the room online and pay when I check in or check out. So I'm asking if it is recommended to pay them cash in local currency or using my SG credit card to pay.

since u book using CC, there is no way u can pay them by cash as the payment is pay CC card. the CC coy will pay on behalf of u. n u pay back to the CC coy
unless they make it such a way, u pay on the spot (direct booking from hotel)

if u r asking wic method is cheaper den haf to c the exchange rates but CC card based on the daily exchange rate whereas u pay by cash on the spot, the exchange rate is based on the day u change(so ur cash might turn out to be cheaper as u might change ur money on a good rates)

Thanks for the advice. I always booking through booking.com, many hotels there are just for reservation only, no need to pay anything. (of course need to put credit card info there for assurance purpose, in case don't show up), you can pay to hotel directly only when you arrive, then it is up to us to pay either by cash or credit card. I guess many other online agency doing that too.

Some hotels will require just a deposit, balance over thr counter by card or by cash.
'My recommendations, keep cash in hand, since it is harder to find a money exchange.
Just pay by card will do fine and save yourself the trouble.
They will ask if u want to pay in ntd or sgd.
I will say ntd. Usually the rate is better that way.

Thank you. I guess now I have to look for which card to use.

im curious about if they charge a commission fee of 1% on top of the admin fee.
BOT and Megabank at TPE charge NTD30. DBS Tw charge 1%. Unless changing alot to have significant savings, else just do it in Singapore or TPE airport. To go DBS Tw in town very troublesome..
