Watch out for the rates of sgd to usd.
If you are changing at some random money changers in your neighbourhood, you are better of not doing it.
So you need to get your sums done well.

SGD isnt weakening. in fact its appreciating a little.
Its that the NTD is appreciating even more than the SGD, hence the unfavourable exchange rate. things wont look good till next april, when MAS reveal their next exchange rate policy.

Thank you all for the advise, i changed usd at 1.361sgd/usd.

Fx gain of near 20sgd with the current usd to ntd rate publish at bank of taiwan website


I did request for all new usd notes and they didnt said anything and gave me all new notes.

USD to NTD is still good, but rates will go down in 2018
SGD to USD remains slightly modest, best rate in 2017 is probably 1.38

if you want to do the SGD-USD-NTD method, do so before 2018, or you may find yourself on the losing end.
SGD-NTD and SGD-USD will very likely increase in apr 2018, so hold your cash till then if you're not visiting taiwan soon.

T1 has mega.
but only one BOT counter@the outside concourse area open when i landed ard 5+am last sat.
those before immg, at luggage claims area only opn at 10am.
