Wah A+ for effort.
Your points are flawed though.

You offering to change 20800 for 924 ( = 22.51 )
Arcade today is 22.65, i.e. $924 can get me 20928. Wow extra NT$128 !! Can buy few bottles of drink at 7-11 ;)

DBS Taiwan buys SGD at 23.145, i.e. $924 = 21367. Take away 1% fee, and left with 21153. Wow extra NT$350 compared to your rate!

Even Bank of Taiwan and Mega Bank are better than your rate. Theirs is 22.82, so 924 gets 21085. Take away the NT$30 transaction fee at airport, and still > 21000 left.

Which brings me to the last point: The exchange counters at the airport are all over the place. No lack of them. One would have to be literally blind to miss all of them.

Your efforts in highlighting the flaws deserves commendation as well, would have given you an A++ for that if you have factor in the transportation cost as well.

Anyhow, Good job Bro !

just to check, on the whole, we should just change at airport counters? also, when u say DBS rates, that applies to withdrawing from taiwan DBS atm machines?

do you walk in to DBS in taiwan to change money?

Change at airport counters all at one go, save a lot as er transaction is 30ntd.

Go dbs n change withcold hard cash.
Withdrawal by card, rates not transparent.

Hahaha. Thanks... I guess :)

Transportation is certainly not $3.50 if taking bus or MRT to Arcade Money Changer. And besides, may not be necessarily true that Arcade has the best rates.

1 point I wish to bring up also is that exchanging with fellow HWZ forumers can also be quite a troublesome experience. I've changed currency > 5 times this way, and each occasion involves multiple SMSs back and forth, and some coordination to meet at the place and time to mutual satisfaction. Much more convenient to just change at the money changer.

The choice between Airport and DBS will depend on the current rates.
In 2014 I changed at DBS and it was marginally better than Megabank/BOT/etc. But it was quite troublesome to get to DBS, so on whole I would say that if changing < S$3000, my #1 choice would be to change at airport.
Recently I changed much more than that, and I also changed at the airport.

Yes. Same.
They do accept foreign currencies.
I even managed to change scandinavian currencies there.
