Only left it on static mode for my GPU. Turned off my mobo's RGB strip because it looks tacky. I didn't bother getting RGB fans also, so not much light in my case apart from my GPU.you turn off all the RGB lighting?

What's really nice to have is more than 20 PCIe lanes from the CPU on a consumer platform.![]()

IMO Dark Hero is one of the few boards some really tight memory like 3800 C14 is guaranteed to work out of the box stably and actually listed as QVL certified as a few boards guaranteed to work with it. It also has alot of feature set if you're looking to overclock and tweak. Also, Asus has far more matured bios with a handful of public testers who actually test with realistic workloads. If you want to run fast memory and push memory, dark hero hands down. If you wanna run normal memory, plug in and forget, the Aorus Master will do.
Granted, it depends on your priority and how much overclock means to you. CPU overclock both boards will do fine as with most boards in the market. Most new CPUs today are already pushed to the edge stock so there isn't much left to tweak other than power/heat management. Memory overclock only few selected boards can do it stably and have far more options for that with the dark hero.

Personally I avoid tempered glass casing as I try once and I know its not suitable for me since I like to open my casing very often to fix things and changing components inside.

That's largely correct but it also depends on the clearance between the TG and the GPU. If you're really tight, even having the best airflow isn't gonna help. It's also case dependent. Some cases I don't understand how they make the GPU sit so close to the TG.From what I read
You use tempered glass (or any transparent panel) if you use water cooling for your GPU in a vertical mounting position whereas you use perforated panels if you use fan cooling.
When you install the GPU in a vertical manner with fan cooling the GPU will be near to the tempered glass which is bad for air movement i.e. throttling will take place resulting in GPU temp rise and the fans will speed up to compensate for this, thus increasing fan noise. Water cooling avoids this. On the other hand, if the GPU is cooled by its fans then a perforated panel is better as outside air can be drawn in to cool it.
Nowadays, TGs are also easy to remove as they are just sitted into slots and lifted up or easy push into and pull out of the casing frame. No longer using thumb screws.

Of course watercooling doesn't even if you have shitty airflow, but remember a good airflow in your case reduces your delta to ambient temps. So as a rule of thumb, prioritize the airflow in your case at all times. Mine is an open case and those with this setup probably don't even have to bother.
There isn't any TG I've seen with perforated holes. If you have a bad clearance between TG and GPU, just run your GPU directly off the PCIE slot. You'll gain more performance than starving those poor cards of proper intake. Imagine breathing through a straw.
