I'm met more than my fair share of crappy project managers (both locals and foreigners) who happily put PMP behind their names in their email signature but they can't project manage to save their lives. No project plan even. And they call themselves project managers.I find that headhunters may notice a PMP more, and possibly open more doors to interviews; some jobs specifically ask for a PMP.
But of course, it is not a guarantee.
Thus, PMP to me only helps open doors. Gets you noticed.
