TD is Dynacore?

My mistake. Confused myself in the process. :s22: They're a reseller with TD stock. I actually can't recall exactly which seller on lzd I got my SF Leadex from, just that the box had a TD sticker, and I registered the warranty with TD.

the recent 1 i got it from tech dynamic....qoo10 with $20 off $150.

u can also get from lazada.... they got $10 off $60 now.

tech dynamic is 5 years local warranty...no worries... the google 1 is just random header of other products. well fishy anot.... u ask them...they will tell u bring down for rma. Whereby others stated black and white, when go down...they just reject ur rma....

previously i was using seasonic...once used superflower...never think of going back.
it is hard to describe....... $120 for 1 full modular.... silent operating during full load...very stable voltage... really worth it.

if u want to do survey, just look on the right >.>
well, if u cant get through the black and white thingy, just go for the public brands.....seasonic corsair....

thanks for all the replies so far

it is not a matter of if i want long warranty or not, but what is the warranty, esp what is the manufacturer warranty vs local warranty
this is what i am trying to find out to clear confusion, not sure why some cannot understand and focus on want long warranty go other brands

i was specifically asking for warranty years and
but got bonus with good reviews on the distro as well
and its quite clear that with TD the warranty for superflower will be 5 years but its a pity superflower itself does not have its own manufacturer warranty stated like the big players

as for this Leadex III Gold seems like not many using this actual model
its good to hear many superflower users but i was hoping for more feedback for this specific model Leadex III Gold and for comments like the psu fan is very loud or can hear whining noise, etc

as mentioned by many even for big brands like corsair there are cases of failure but i presume is not for all models as some are pretty stable
this can be said for some evga models as well where there were issues

to add on
with online purchasing there are things like vouchers and coupons discounts and validity
so it becomes very messy to have to compare sellers on different online platforms and keep reading the fine prints to make sure the warranty is there or the distro is so and so and using the vouchers
if there is manufacturer warranty backing then can avoid all these hassle and be confident of the purchase

For superflower, the most value product they have is the eco silver 500 or 600w. At $89 or $99 respectively, fully modular, small sized, 5 yrs warranty, 80+ Silver rating, this is THE best psu to get for budget builds. Too bad demand for this is very high and hard to get stocks now.

As for leadex III, it can be compared with Seasonic Focus Plus GX series. Both can be considered as very similar. Perhaps the only reason that not many uses Leadex is because not many know about Superflower. Most ppl know Seasonic, Corsair, etc. Reason is that SF used to just do OEM for other brands, then they started to come up with their own psu that has very good quality and can fight the top dogs.

Also, i believe each manufacturer would have an internal agreement with distro carrying their products, on the RMA procedures, warranty, etc. So, the manufacturer will still refer you back to local distro once they view your receipt.

I personally will recommend my frens to get the eco silver 1st, either in lazada or in SLS before recommending other alternatives if they need to swap psu.

Well, since you ask for a feedback on a unit, maybe i give my 2cents on it since i am using it. Bought it from a shop in SLS, forget how many year warranty but should be 5 years since the distri is Tech Dynamic.

Put it inside my fractal design meshify c and i cant hear any sound so far. So far having no issue but i only been using it for about three months.

Was choosing LeadexIII and seasonic gx650 but in the end leadex for the price.

Ehhh. carousell got. I picked up a set there before

I saw based on leadex III that they revert back to the typical 2 rows of connectors le, instead of the 3x3 type. Waiting for my 7 yrs old Seasonic to ki chia before buying new psu. lol

warranty wise, not worth it for the price
you can get evga, seasonic or corsair for 10 years warranty at lower price
also, if they not confident to put 10 years warranty, it means their product not good enough to last 10 years
to put it simple, why buy a inferior product at high price?

distro rma center aren't free to operate.... this is why manufacturer is 7 years while our local distro only offer 5 years. our distro been struggling to be competitive.

consumers are very realistic in pricing, this is why there are reseller selling with 1 year warranty.

the brand already tell it all, yes i own Leadex III Gold.....0 noise.
Reliability? i use 10 years then tell u. ;)

i show u something....this buyer compare local seller vs overseas seller.:s13:
what i trying to say is u can't compare A with B, we consider very lucky the distro bring in to sell.

Your PSU works well after 10 yrs does not mean his will work as well. Each batch will have its own problems/issues de. All depends on own luck and draw of the straw.

One should actually focus on how each local distro tackle RMA issues rather than focus too much on product reliability. Some distro will brush u off saying its consumer fault the moment they see any minuscule damage although product is marketed to be creme de la creme. Some will test for you extensively and if concluded to be spoiled with no major consumer induced damages, they will swap w/o any pointing fingers back to consumer.

If I read you correctly, it seems that you're worried about whether the stock from certain local sellers come from distro (Tech Dynamic) or from other sources.

Thus, the warranty (source) conundrum

I think quite a few of us here -- including myself -- have shared that SuperFlower PSUs are covered under a 5-year warranty locally with Tech Dynamic.

This is no matter if you buy from Tech Dynamic itself or from authorised resellers. Same logic when you buy a CPU, MoBo, or GPU from SLS stores and then bring back to respective distro.

So, if you're buying from an authorised retailer like Dynacore (in my case), then you shouldn't be worried.

If you really want to be crystal-clear about what you're landing yourself into, then PM the seller to clarify warranty length and RMA source before making your purchase.

If you do decide to buy it from overseas, then I think only a handful (at best) of HWZers can advise you on that.

i was specifically asking for warranty years and
but got bonus with good reviews on the distro as well
and its quite clear that with TD the warranty for superflower will be 5 years but its a pity superflower itself does not have its own manufacturer warranty stated like the big players

Unless you're worried that distros like TD change their warranty support terms after you had already purchased the item, why would this matter if distro like TD is giving you 5-years warranty?

Can't say for sure if it has happened before, but if you want this in writing, email distros after your purchase to confirm their warranty support period so that if anything changes, perhaps you can use that to dispute matters if necessary?

as for this Leadex III Gold seems like not many using this actual model

I think you may have missed my initial post.

You may want to be more specific about the feedback you're looking for besides simply saying:

"Any problems so far and how long been using?"

Anyhow, I've had this PSU for just over a week now.

Looks good. Works Fine. Fan is silent as f*** even when it is turned on (you have the option to opt for Eco Mode performance where the fan doesn't spin).

I bought this on the back of feedback from several forums -- both local like HWZ and overseas -- and while it may be too early to tell, I'd like to think this is a good purchase decision I've made.

the brand already tell it all, yes i own Leadex III Gold.....0 noise.

Hi TS, I recently bought a SF LeadEx III Gold from Dynacore's FB page two weeks ago -- after reading HWZ feedback on this.

Delivery took a week to get to me in total, even though Dynacore told me it'd take 3 business days max. But, small matter because 1 week delivery in ** Covid period is understandable and still bearable.

Dynacore's listing says it has 5-years local warranty:

It's a good PSU -- you should go for it.

I think this is covered quite extensively throughout the thread already.

to the points highlighted in bold
i am trying to explain why i am after a warranty number because many do not understand
I am comparing all aspects of the brand or model i have in mind with other brands

initially i have no idea the number of local distros so hoping to find some answers

and no i do not just buy from authorized local resellers, i source from non-local platforms as well so i am after a manufacturer number which cannot be found in black and white in super flower website, unlike other big brands

if purchased from resellers locally who gets from TD warranty is by TD 5 years this is clear as well, no need to quote and bold again as I got this in the 1st few posts already

i have also explained that it is a waste of time to read t&c on online platforms which may be wrong or misleading so it would be good to get a manufacturer warranty confirmation lest the source is not local
it is not feasible to pm all sellers on online platforms and wait for them to answer

hope this clarifies once and for all

I am happy to receive any kind of feedback, it can be initial perceptions
it can be anything like packaging flimsy or only got black not other color, etc
but not trolling kinds like after 10 years then feedback

What you saying only make sense if local warranty for other brands are cut short but that isn't.

Maybe do some research on local market brandings and warranties first before making wild guesses.

Also lastly, fyi, while the brand and model might be same but warranty may not because of the manufacturing year or batch. Some batches use reliable parts while some don't therefore the warranty covered also varies.

All in all, that brand, model and batch for that warranty and price is not value for money.

when u ask people for help/assistance, u should trust their advisory as this is basic manner.

u try to find flaws in the warranty. people tell u sf good, u demand specify model. :s22:

i am not trolling, only showing u 10 years receipt can clear your doubts. i took 10mins dig out this receipt for u.

You referring to SF, you argue that distro rma center isn't free that's why no 7 years. I am telling you that if other brands can hold their warranty, why wouldn't SF be? You think rma center only cover one brand?

Furthermore, I added that some model have more warranty depending on the batch. For example, corsair RM model some is 5 years but some is 10 years, it depend on the manufacturing year.

In ts case, the seller and distro both put 5 years. Either the psu is inferior product that has no confidence for 7 years warranty (failed 7 years benchmark but pass 5 years benchmark) or the distro & manufacturer didn't review the warranty.

Either way, no reason to pay that much for 5 years local warranty when you can pay the same to get 10 years warranty from seasonic, evga and corsair

manners or not it depends on their tones, some think they know a lot and you must believe them and owe them for helping
want to be helpful just help, nothing better to say better keep quiet else go edmw, nobody is demanding anything

nobody is helping me do things, not as if i asking them to buy psu for me
i am just asking if anyone has anything to feedback and all hell breaks loose on what want warranty go other brands, how is this even relevant?

got screenshots is appreciated, it helps to prove their points

again it is not finding flaws so don't assume you know what i'm thinking
screenshots help to enforce the what can be trusted
cannot just believe everything people post
many people don't even know what they walking about but still want to say something to feel song

thanks for your receipt screenshot but you don't need to prove anything to me
it doesn't mean that you need to own the unit to be able to share experience, it can be an encounter of your friend who owns a unit
btw your receipt does not show 10 years as you claim so it becomes point of contention

again i do not know why people want to find trouble with someone asking to confirm if there is a manufacturer warranty
it is as simple as this

even for the 7 yrs warranty as claim by some overseas website that is not ascertained to be true as there isn't anywhere to verify

yes
and i started off with google showing only one year
so my intention is to find out what exactly is the warranty and who are having wrong info put up
eg
if lzd there are seller who put up this unit for sale with only 1 yr warranty
so its either the info is wrong, or the distro is not TD
so have to verify further
not sure why some gets so defensive and go off topic

another point and for another topic is why as oem for evga, evga is able to offer 10 years warranty whereas superflower itself own offers 5 or 7 years warranty?
