It's been for years, why can't we have this simple function?

It's just a simple opposite of Ignore List.

- I add ignore to user, I can't see his/her view.
- I add block user, he/she can't see my view.

Why? Why can't we have this improvement, so simple, and able to resolve most argument on the forum??

I don't understand what is the logic for "Add to Ignore list".
Let's say I fought with someone and I self-censor myself?

So, I plead to the Administrators, Developers, and decision makers of Hardwarezone, please have this simple function, replacing the ignore function.

and course, mods and admins will be unblockable...

Twitter is a very good logic to follow...

user J is nuisance, user J is being block, user J cannot further disturb

I dunno where's the logic behind "ignore list" where Gordon self-censored himself from looking at J pranks, while J still able to **** gordon...

with this function, it also able to resolve this matter

then the two user still dun want to add ignore list because why should I censor myself looking who's attacking me?

BUT WITH THE BLOCK FUNCTION

You bo bian like it or not, other people already block from reading their opinion...

I believe this simple function can be done...

Look at the LIKE button, look at new hwz layout, look at the user dropdown box...

That will be a whole new level, I just want to keep it simple..

just a simple twitter block...

you tio blocked, you can't see

you logout, you still can't see, only people login and not blocked can see

I am sure our Doctorate Vijay Anand, with Mjolnir in his hands, would have such a flow chart of more effective "ignore list" already...

Your idea makes zilch sense. Say I'm X and Y adds me to his ignore list.

Whenever X comments on a thread, Y will see the following:

This message is hidden because X is on your ignore list.

This alone should suffice for users who feel they are being harassed. To add on, if any particular user gets out of line with the remarks, there is a report button to use, and infraction points will be dealt which could subsequently lead to a ban that restricts activity on the forums.

You suggestion is that if Y blocks X, neither will be able to view the other's postings. This is not feasible because:

1. This is not social media, but a public discussion forum.

2. Y's posts could be quoted by other users, and X would still be able to view them, and in turn continue to ridicule Y.

If you are such a baby about these issues, I kindly suggest you get off the internet instead.
