Hi I just bought a used t jet bravo auto with about 2 years to go. Very pleased to have found this thread. Managed to list alot of useful info so thanks to all the contributors. Hoping to get my post count up so that I can PM zhutou to see if I can get into the bravo WhatsApp group.

Abit more background info on e car I bought. It's my first car, been riding bikes all the while, and my wife is paranoid about getting cars from used dealers so it took awhile for me to decide on which bravo I would get. End up getting one from a Casetrust accredited dealer at MacKenzie. It's got about a little over 160k which is on e high side compared to the rest of the bravos on the market. Got the standard tyre change, before and after collection servicing, paint touchups grooming etc as a package. And also a one year gearbox and engine warranty. Will be collecting it this week, and I was wondering what I should do first once e car comes out. It looks and sounds and feels good, and the shop will do a standard 10km service before collection. My main worry are the belts. Should I just get them changed? Or should I just wait till the next servicing interval before I get it done, if I should even get it done in the first place. Appreciate any help, like I said, first car. Btw, I saw a carousell seller selling bravo parts, wonder if anyone recommends him?

Bravos have their belt change interval at 80k then 160k. I'm going to presume it hasn't been changed

Edit: I would not have recommended a Fiat Bravo as your first car. This is not the kind of vehicle you buy and chuck at the mechanic. You'll need some technical understanding to baby it I have to say.

Unless u have the car history, don’t take chances with belts. One snap and u r looking at costly repairs.

For warranty, don’t put yr hopes too high on used dealers. So set aside money for tat. Ard 3k

I'm more interested in Abarth front and tail logos though. Does anyone know where to find them / the part numbers?

On a side note, i'm getting occasional rough idling/idle stall issues on the semiauto, even after having my sparks changed. Have anyone encountered this issue before?

u can start with things like ignition coils, MAF, clean throttle body but best is plug in obd to scan

not too sure. my Alfa use own parts already $800 all in. Fiat should be abit cheaper

some normal workshop can do it.
will be cheaper.

In gonna heed ya'll advice and get the timing belt changed. Do u guys recommend getting parts from stockists and thn visiting one of the recommended workshops OR should I just go straight to the workshop?

Workshop will charge u higher labor if u bring outside parts. Usually stockist price is not much better. The real savings come from overseas buy

I wish I had two weeks. It's already 160k and a half. Think I'll just go straight to the workshops this time. Any idea how long it takes? Downtime
