寅 yin = 3am
卯 mao = 5am
辰 chen = 7am
巳 si = 9am
午 wu = 11am
未 wei = 1pm
申 shen = 3pm
酉 you = 5pm
戌 xu = 7pm
亥 hai = 9pm
子 zi = 11pm

初 meaning 1st hour, 正 meaning 2nd hour

In the 1st episode the clock pointed 巳正, my guess would be the show's setting started somewhere from 10am onwards

I strongly recommend this series. I rarely recommend China dramas but I am hooked onto this after watching 2 episodes

It is said that the producers even made the armor worn by soldiers with metal, not some crap plastic prop. Production value is definitely really high, just like a movie set...
