Yeah so events would cover over 48 hours but I don't know if it's 2 consecutive days or 2 separate days

Think is still one day, albeit the name longest day in Chang'an. 21 episodes the show only went from 10am to 8pm

You got convert their time to modern time? I tried but I lost track on the way. Their daylight actually quite long, I don't know why

I tried looking up, I see all sorts of conversion. It's like different dynasties got different interpretation of time. I have not watched 21 yet but based on the final sunset on episode 19, it's 7pm?

Haha watched this video this afternoon, for those at the start explained in detail their background story. But don't go too far into the video to reveal the later plots

Episode 19 is 酉正,around 6-7pm. The timings you posted earlier should be the correct conversion. The setting of the show is 正月十五, which is usually around Jan/Feb, the night time for Xian starts around 8pm

Ah I see. No wonder their daytime quite long

Also kudos to the production team, they took a lot of effort to show the transition from day to night. Episode 19 they put a lot of filter during post-production to resemble evening's strong but fading sunlight

I think the show can drag until 48 episodes with all the back stories....

just started watching...not bad

the feel is very similar to the Andy Lau 狄仁杰 movie

This show filmed in 2017, if released earlier I won't have heard about it as I usually don't follow drama and this is the first China drama that I watched

The show is quite a challenge because not only some of them have to wear the same outfit throughout the entire show, they have to shave their beard and hair every few days, particularly the female casts, and also keep the injury makeup throughout. I based this on how the US counterpart did for 24.

That guy is a historical figure? China history noob here, thought only the emperor and his wife are real historical figures

He became 3rd level official in the current prince court after the prince took over.

Not a good guy though as he propose to kill all the official whom had served under 安禄山.

I saw the video that the female assassin shaved her hair, big sacrifice for the show.
